Our trailer rattled violently as the men in the nearby car shouted fiercely. We were all quivering with fear. Famished and worried, I opened a container filled with soup that was given to me by Barry, a nice guy in the group that pitied me. Ah, that satisfying, mouth-watering smell of the soup that was stored in my hands. I had always had a strange fondness of soup. Now, I hope you don't think that I will write an aspiring ode to soup ( though I may easily compose one ) next, but it soothed me after the events that have taken place in the couple of days.
The door swung open, and I got a strange, eerie feeling. But we took this opportunity to run, far away from this prison. We fled quickly to find a hiding spot, but it was completely useless, as the terrain surrounding us was barren and nothing could be seen for miles. He grabbed us roughly and shoved us into the airborne vehicle. After a few awkward minutes, Aabid nodded to one of the more burly looking men. The copter landed and I immediately spotted an isolated and worn out wooden hut under the shelter of a slate of golden rock. It looked cosy, but unstable. I was not sure if it would last longer. I was dragged towards the light brown shack along with Mercy, Bella and Rose. As we approached the shanty, one of the men said," We thought you four were actually going to be some help, but we were wrong. So we are going to leave you all here for eternity-without food." So they dumped us in front of the doorway and started making their way back to their transport. Miraculously, one of the men was Barry, and he snuck a carton of bread and a small canteen of water-just enough to survive a few days. I thanked him silently and then gestured for the girls to come over. We marvelled at the sight of food. We turned around to see the miniscule, uncomfortable shack that would be our home for the rest of our lives. We had better get ready for a long night...
