Eyes like liquid fire stared at me from the darkness outside my cell and I knew that help was on the way. I’ve been locked up down here for more than twenty year, I was beginning to lose hope that anyone would find me. The Silver Dragons have come, It’s time for me to go home and reclaim my birthright from the evil bitch Karen.
“Sapphire, can you hear me?” a male voice spoke from a little ways off. I could smell his scent and recognized him.
“I’m fine Uriah. Just get me the hell out of here!! I’m sick of this place. I need to shift now or I will go insane.” I yelled at him to put emphasis on “insane”.
“Loud and clear, Milady. Stand back. The bars are coming down.” As he breaks down the bars of my cell let me tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Sapphire Tombi and I am Princess of Glendolath, heir to the throne until my parents were overthrown by none other than our kingdom’s enemy Karen. She just also happens to my aunt, it’s not like I can choose my family for myself you know. When my mother married the young prince of Ivance, they thought everything was going to be fine. I mean, they just finished a war who would be dumb enough to start another one? Apparently my mother's sister Karen is. She gathered an army and attaked the aerial palace on rogue wyverns, the cousins of dragons. We didn't stand a chance and considering i was barely a teen myself then, it was all I knew.
The bars and half the wall explode. Finally! I'm free! I leap out the window only for my foot to catch on a stray brick. "Damn that hurt!" I yell.
Not even a few feet away from me I can hear Uriah laughing at me. "Same old Saph."
I mean its been damn near twenty years since i last saw him, shouldn't he be kinda different someway. Spoke too soon.
Uriah tripped over his own feet. I couldn't help it, I laughed til I cried. I was already in so much pain I got a little hysterical.
