Escaping from your demons is nearly impossible,

Because honey,

You're their creator.

I picked my hand to knock on a door I thought I'd never see again.

Opening the door was one red haired, green eyed woman I use to call mom.

She looked good for her age.

"Rachael," I spoke a bit tense.

She was sober right now, but I'm sure that'd change soon.

"Oh Raven, my baby,"she spoke snatching me into a hug.

At first I was frozen, not use to hugs, but then I wrapped my arms around her.

I still love my mom. I can't help that.

"Come in love," she spoke in her slight British accent.

Mom was from Essex, England.

She hadn't to the U.K. in almost 20 years.

"How have you been Rav," she asked walking into the spotless kitchen.

"Good," I spoke bluntly, not going into detail.

"Do you want something to eat or drink, love," mom quired.

"No. Really Rachael I have to get going. I just came to visit," I stated checking the time.

I had a lunch with dad in ten.

She frowned,"Oh. Okay Rav."

She came around the counter to give me a bone crushing hug.

"You be safe Raven," she spoke in my ear.

I gave her a genuine smile," I always am mom."

She smiled at that.

I left quickly after that and headed over to Clare's Cabaña.

I arrived a bit early and waited for my father at a table outside.

Soon he arrived. He looked different from the last time I seen him.

His hair was cut and he looked younger.

My dad was a good looking guy so isn't wasn't a surprise when the hostess was flirting with him.

He wasn't paying her any attention, once he spotted me, he made his way over waving off the girl.

Once he was seated he just stared.

"You've grown up some much Rav," he said with admiration.

"I had to," I chuckled darkly.

He frowned," Raven I-"

"No. Adam. Its fine. It wasn't your fault," I said knowing what he was about to say.

When I was kidnapped my dad put himself through hell for it.

He thought I had ran away because of him.

My mom would say that it wasn't his fault, then he started to blame her.

Calling her lots an lots of things that Matte told me.

"I-i should have been there for you. I should have never let you walk home," dad spoke looking really emotional.

I love my dad. Its something I can't let go.
