At 8 pm I returned to my room and fell face first onto the closest bed.
"Long day?" My room mate Stacy asked smiling.
"Yeeeeees." I grunted, still with my face facing the sheets. I was too tired to even dignify her with a look.
"I've been sleeping all day." Stacy informed me content. I forced myself to sit back up to face her.
"You skipped classes again?" I sighed. "Stacy, you can't go on like this. We're in college now."
"It's not like they can tell my parents." She looked away and lined the books in the shelf to perfection. That was true. Mr. and Mrs. Lee had been in a car crash seven years ago with a 12 year old Stacy in the backseat. She had been the only survivor and since then she had been living with her aunt in Wisconsin. When it was time for college she hadn't wanted to stay in the state, too many memories she said. So she ended up in the northen parts of the state of New York with me.
I sighed and fell back down on my face. I must've fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes it wasn't bright outside which it always was when I woke up in the mornings. My eyelashes were tangled together which suggested I still had my make up on. I was laying on my stomach, and to see the clock I had to turn my head and neck in an unnatural position. 3 am. I was on the verge of cursing out loud but remembered Stacy was asleep on the other side of the room, so I just slipped my feet into a pair of slippers as aggressivly as I could to let my anger out in some way. Since I hadn't had time to change into my pyjamas before I was already dressed for nightly adventures. As adventurous is could be at a college campus in the middle of the night on a wednesday. The wall lamps out in the corridor were turned off. I let my hands slither against the wall to avoid walking into it. In a few minutes I was out ot the clear. The fresh air brushed my face. It was chilly, luckily I had my jumper on. Since I'd be unable to sleep for the rest of the night I decided to take a walk around campus. I'd never strolled around during night time. Could get interesting.

Interesting was definitely an overexaggeration. But campus was pretty when the stars shone upon the grass and oldfashioned marble pathways. It was a starlit night and constellations were easy to find. I tried to make out Orion's belt. My contact lenses had dried out my eyes when I'd fallen asleep with them in, and it was hard to distinguish anything from more than 30 feet away.
"Is this Kasey?"
Someone grabbed my shoulder and spun me around. Face to face I was looking into the green sea eyes of the boy who stood for my ride this morning.
"Oh my god!" I yelped and took a deep breath. "What the hell?"
"Harry." He smiled like he thought I'd forgotten his name. Of course I hadn't.
"What are you doing out at 3 am?"
"We must be telepathic. I was just about to ask you the same thing."
"No, I asked you first. Are you eating? Is that a sandwich?"
"Hey, no judgement!" Harry took a bite of the piece of bread he was holding in his hand. "If you're hungry you're hungry."
I shook my head. "Back to the subject."
"Well it's my first day here, and I've been pretty nervous all day. When I'm nervous I can't sleep." He shrug his shoulders and broke our eye contact by taking another bite of his sandwich. My eyes switched to fixate on his shoulders. His very broad shoulders for that matter.
"Your turn." He smiled happily. I moved my gaze from his upper body back to his eyes with questionmarks written all over my face. "My what?"
His laugh was melodically and lingrered in the cold night air. "Your turn to tell me why you're as messed up as I am."
"Oh no, late night walks isn't usually my thing. I just, couldn't sleep. " I smiled with one corner of my mouth and tilted my head looking down at the ground for a brief moment.
"Would you like to make it your thing? With me?"
