1982:

"Hazel! Wait.. please!" Jermaine opened the door and ran out after his girlfriend.
With tears in her eyes, Hazel ignored him and got into her car. "Please! Let's just talk about this."
"No!" Hazel snapped turning round to face him. She did nothing to hide the tears anymore. "Jermaine... I can't do this anymore. Our lives are too different. We're too different!"
"But.... I love you." Jermaine croaked.
Hazel gave a little sniffle and looked into his eyes.
"I love you too. But I just can't be in a relationship. Not now. My work life just can't let this get in the way. I'm not sure if I can ever let myself fall in love again." She closed the door and drove off leaving Jermaine standing outside the house alone.
He looked back to his front door where his husky dog sat sadly.
He walked back into the house.
"Come on Buzzard." He said quietly.
Still stareing at the road where Hazel had driven down, Buzzard obediently followed his owner into the kitchen.
Jermaine sat down at the table, put his head into his hands and began to cry.
Buzzard walked over to him and leaned against him, whining quietly, unsure of where Hazel had gone and why.
