"We are never moving again," my mom groaned, lifting a box marked 'underwear' off of the kitchen counter. "Seven children and you'd think one of them would be a girl."

"I don't see why you felt the need to have seven children in the first place," I commented, taking a bite of my Lucky Charms.

"Castiel, will you drive your brothers to school today and help them get their schedules?" She ignored my previous statement, starting to prepare breakfast for herself.

"If they're ready by six-fifty," I bargained.

Mom looked at the clock.

"Boys, get ready for school! You don't wanna be late," she shouted.

I rolled my eyes and finished my cereal, then stood up to rinse the bowl and put it in the dishwasher.

My family was huge. Three younger brothers, three older brothers, and I landed right smack dab in the middle. In order of birth, there was Lucas, Michael, Gabriel, me (Castiel), Balthazar, Gadreel, and Ezekiel.

Can you tell yet that my parents are religious?

I headed to the bathroom, which was conveniently connected to my bedroom, to brush my teeth. Running my fingers through my hair, I got it to stick up just a bit the way I liked it.

My outfit consisted of my usual black and white converse, black jeans, a tan formal sweater over a white button-down shirt, of course an undershirt, and a blue tie tucked into the sweater to top it off. Tugging on the bottom of the white shirt so it would stick out properly, I took one last look at myself in the mirror to make sure I didn't look like a mess before heading back to my bedroom to grab my keys and the messenger bag I carried my books in.

"Come on guys," I called as I returned to the kitchen. My three younger brothers eventually joined me in what used to be my mom's Prius until she bought a bigger car to fit more of the family at once.

I drove to the grade school first and Balthazar opted on waiting in the car while I walked Gadreel and Zeke to the front office.

"Hello," the lady at the desk smiled.

"Hi, um, my brothers were registered here on Friday and they need their schedules," I told her, trying not to sound intimidated.

"What are their names and grades?" She asked, turning towards her computer.

"Gadreel Novak in seventh grade and Ezekiel Novak in third," I told her.

"Alright," she opened a drawer and sifted through some papers and pulled two out of the stack. "Here's Gadreel's and here's Ezekiel's."

"Thank you," I smiled and the boys by my sides followed me out the front doors. "Okay guys, just follow those kids that way."

"Cassie," Zeke grabbed my arm and I looked down at him. "I'm scared."

"Don't worry, Zeke," I knelt down to his height. "Ree will show you where to go. I'll come and get you at the end of the day."

"Can I have a hug?" He asked shyly.

I nodded and held out my arms and he wrapped his around my neck.

"Gadreel, look out for him," I warned, earning a nod, then walked back to the car.

When Balthy and I arrived at the high school, I parked in the juniors' parking lot and walked with him to the front office of our own school. We got our schedules and I headed off to find my first class so I wouldn't get lost at the last minute.

The bell rang as soon as I reached the hall that my class was in. People lining the hall began to disperse and I walked inside my US History class to see a few people already sitting down around the room.
