"Good morning, sunshine." I heard her sneering as her heels clicked against the concrete. "How was your first night?"
I glared up at the approaching frog mask, not daring to speak to her.
"What's wrong?" She chuckled. "Cat got your tongue?"
"Fuck you," I grimaced.
"Oh my," she tisked, unlocking the padlock on my cage. "We'll have to deliver some punishment for using that kind of language."
"You don't scare me," I muttered, spitting on her shoes.
She chuckled, "I will."
She grabbed my upper arm, yanking me out of the cage.
"Get on your knees," She muttered, throwing me against the wall.
I did nothing, letting my body slip down the wall onto the floor.
"Get on your fucking knees!" She hollered at me, grabbing me by the hair and dragging me to the middle of the room. "You need to learn to listen."
She walked away from me, leaving me on my knees. I sat down on my feet, watching as she grabbed a dog chain.
"This should be appropriate." She smirked. She walked back toward me, wrapping the chain around my neck. As she yanked the chain tighter, I felt my airways cut off, while the metal sliced into my skin. I could hear her laughing, but only just. The longer she held on, the less coherent the world was, but I wouldn't allow myself to die so quickly at her hand. I thrashed around with all the strength I had and she soon released her grip. I bowed my head down, gasping for breath, but she soon began whipping the chain against my bare back, and the guttural scream I released could have cracked the concrete walls.
She laughed, "This is what you deserve. Worthless, talentless, whore."
"Okay, sorry." I mumbled, shaking my head. "I can't keep doing this."
"Okay," Trevor nodded. "Thank you."
"So her voice," James said. "You said that it was an American accent?"
I nodded, "But it sounded fake. Some words she said would sound more English than American."
"You think she's from England?" Trevor asked.
I nodded, "I think so."
"Brilliant," he stood up. "Thank you for doing that, Adelaide. I'll get started on this list and I'll call you later."
"You okay?" James asked me after Trevor left.
I shrugged, "I didn't expect it to be so vivid. But I'm okay. It's just a memory, right?"
He gave me a small smile. "We're going to find her.

I know, I know. It's SHORT. I was really reluctant on posting a chapter that's less than 500 words, but I felt like her memory should be stand-alone. So, I hope you guys like your little filler! My promotion at my job starts tomorrow, and I am very nervous, wish me luck! Chapter 15 will be longer, I promise ;)
