Your life had changed on May Twenty-Eight
Once with love, once with hate.
You took something from me that day.
And for that, Brad will surely pay.
The end is nigh so hear me now,
To me, you shall always bow.

"Any word from Trevor on that suspect list?" James asked me while we nibbled on our brunch.
I shook my head. "No, but he did say it would take a few days, so I won't bite his head off just yet."
"And what about the letter?" He said. "Have you told Brad?"
My eyes widened, "Are you crazy? I can't tell him that."
"You have to." James said in a stern tone. "His life is on the line here."
"No it's not," I muttered. "We're going to find her. We have to."
"So what do we do while we wait on Trevor?" He asked.
I shrugged, "We do what we can, I suppose."
After we finished eating and paid, we took our time walking back to James' flat. It was one of those few and far between perfect March days, and the vitamin D coming from the sun was like London's heroin.
"You wanna call Con and tell him to meet us at the flat?" James said.
"My phone's dead," I lied.
"You were charging it at the restaurant." He mentioned.
I sighed, keeping my eyes looking ahead of me. "Will you just call him?"
"What's going on with you two?" He asked. "You haven't even stayed at his house since you two returned from Paris."
"Nothing," I mumbled. "We just don't work well as roommates."
"Liar." He scoffed. "If that were the case, you would have moved out by now, instead of just crashing on my couch, living out of your weekend luggage bag.
I sighed, glaring at him. "I kissed him."
"Woah!" He laughed. "Okay, now things are making more sense."
"It's not funny," I rolled my eyes. "What about Brad, you know? What the hell was I thinking?"
"Hey," he stopped laughing. "Don't beat yourself up about it. It was just one kiss."
"Yeah, but how can I kiss him when I'm still in love with Brad?"
He shrugged, "People do it all the time. I'm sure he knows it didn't mean anything."
"I don't think so," I shook my head.
"You think he has feelings for you?" He asked.
"I don't know," I sighed. "I don't know the half of what he's thinking right now."
"Look," he said, grabbing my shoulders to stop me. "Connor knows how you feel about Brad, and just like the rest of us, he supports that. He knows better than to like you in that way."
