"Hello, my name is Willow, may I take your order?" I heard from above me.

I looked up from the small menu I was studying, to see a girl, my age or close to, standing at the table with a pad and paper in her hand with a smile on her face.

"Just a vanilla coffee and a chocolate brownie, please," I smiled back at her and handed her the menu, which she happily took.

"Thank you and I'll be right back," She chirped and spun around leaving me alone.

I was sitting in one of the other cafes in town. I had never been to other cafes because I worked at one and didn't want to see its competition. But Cafe Aurora has been closed for a few weeks now, I decided to see how it was.

So far I am enjoying the atmosphere and the design of this particular cafe. There are about three to four other cafes. This particular one was called Coffee Express. They have regular food like we did, but they have more and, I hate to say it, better variety of food and drinks than we did.

It has been a week since Brooke had became a sassy little girl. Sadly, her sassiness has improved. I cannt be at home without her talking back to someone. I know it's because she is growing up, but I, and probably my whole family, don't like how old she is getting.

"Okay, I got your order here," the girl said from earlier.

Looking up, I saw she had a cup of coffee and a chocolate brownie. Just like I ordered. This cafe is different from mine in this way. They have sitting and ordering instead of ordering when entering.

"Thank you," I said leaning back so she could place the stuff down on the table.

"Any time," she said putting my order down.

As she when to leave she froze and turn back around. "You wouldn't have to be Olivia Newman, right?" she asked.

"Um, yeah. Why do you ask?" I said getting awkward. I never have liked people knowing about me when I don't know them.

"No reason, besides you were my partner in english last year," she shrugged, "but if you don't remember me, i'll be back with your receipt."

Before I could reply to her, she walked away. I remember her, but I didn't think it is that important. Obviously to her is it, though. Partners in school are just that: one time thing that has no meaning. Unless of course if it's with someone we are best friends with.

Trying my coffee and immediately spitting it back as it was scalding hot. Apparently that was a stupid thing to do since she put it down no less than a few minutes ago. Figuring it's best to let it cool a bit, I started on my brownie. The brownie was amazing. But not as good as mine, thankfully.

As she was walking back I made the decision. I would ask her if she wants to hang out and maybe get to know each other more. I could use another friend since Kenda is a way in college and I get bored by myself sometimes. She seems a like a perfect friend with her being friendly and all.

"Here you go. You can just pay here and you'll be all set to go," she smiled placing the receipt down, "thanks again for coming Olivia."

"Willow!" I exclaimed when she started to turn around.

She spun around and raised an eyebrow in question. "Yes Olivia? What do you want?"

"Um," I cleared my throat, "I was wondering if you would like to hang out sometime."

"Why? Is this just because what I told you?" she asked annoyed and almost turning to leave. "Because, I don't need you to feel obligated to."

"No, it's not that, well not completely. Mainly because you seem like a nice friend and a wonderful lady." I said hoping I am able to convince her.
