Great Escape, A Niall Horan Fanfiction

Chapter One

Niall's view-

Mia shuts the car door and pops the trunk. I slide the suitcases in the back and greet Mia in the car. "you ready?" i smile. she nods. We were gonna have the best time in the world even if it kills me. She puts on her sunglasses and adjusts the strap of her swim suit under her tank top. I put the top down on her car and we head off.

Best Song Ever comes on and i crack up laughing.

"this is outrageous." i laugh. Mia turns it up.

"Maybe its the waaay shee walkeedddddddd." Mia sings.

"Straaaaight into my heaarttt and stooollleeee iittt" i sing back.

The car starts to pull to a halt after we turn off the interstate. "uhh, Ni.. why is the car stopping..?"

"i may or may not have forgotten to get gas..." Mia groans. "seriously, Niall!" i get out of the car and lift the hood of the old convertible. A black Escalade  pulls over next to us.

"need a lift mate?" Harry says rolling down his window. Meredith, his girlfriend of 2 years leans forward to see past Harry's curls.

"Quick tip. You don't travel without gas." Harry pulls out a small, red tank from the trunk. Meredith gets out and small talks with Mia until me and harry are done. "thanks so much, Lad."

He nods. "Just trail behind us, just in case this in't enough." i nod and we all get back on the road.

We don't arrive till dark, so in return, mia falls asleep. i put the roof back on so she doesn't get cold. I pull into the beach house. Louis, Eleanor, Zayn, Perrie, Harry, Meredith, Mia and I are the only people there. "where's Liam?" i ask. turning off the car. "they stopped and ate dinner." i nod. "We waited for you so we could all choose the bedrooms." Louis adds. i nod and wake Mia. "we're here,  babe.'' She nods. "Okay." we leave the bags in the car for now, and go check out the rooms. Mia comes across a room with a perfect ground view of the beach. she walks outside and just looks at the moon shinning down on the ocean. i go behind her and wrap my arms around her body. "its so beautiful." She smiles. i nod. "definitely." The bedroom has its own bathroom as well.

i go outside to get the bags, leaving Mia alone. it was a 5 hour drive. I'm exhausted. i go back into the bedroom and lie down. Mia completely ignores me and walks out into the kitchen. "Niall! Liam and Danielle are here!" Zayn yells. i tiredly walkout there. "hey mate." Liam nods with his hands full, he looks for the last room. "Liam let me take something.." Danielle says. "No no no. i got it, Hun. you're fine." Dani shakes her head laughing.

"well, for once, im not even hungry. im going to bed. are you coming with, Mia?" i ask. She shakes her head. "i'll be in there in a minute." i nod and walk back into the bedroom.

"so what do we have planned tomorrow?" i hear her ask.

"we're all just going to spend the day at the beach. maybe go to some surf shops." Louis shrugs. "Okay. well, im beat as well. goodnight everyone."

Mia slowly and quietly opens and closes the door. and grabs a pair of pajama bottoms out of her bag. she slips off her jeans and slides those on. "I'll be right back." she grabs my jersey i gave her from the charity football and goes into the bathroom.

She comes out about 15 minutes later with that on and her hair pulled back. she lays down and i notice she doesn't have makeup on either. "ahh, I'm so tired" she says. "me too."

"goodnight, Ni."

"goodnight, Mia."

i kiss her cheek and roll over.

The next morning, Mia is already out of bed and in the bathroom fixing her swimsuit. "what time did you wake up?" i say rubbing my eyes. "6:30"

"what time is it?" i say grabbing her phone. i push the power button and I'm greeted with a picture of me and her doing the duck face with our eyes crossed. it reads 7:30. i nod and go back into the bedroom part. i slip on my black hollister swim trunks and go out into the living room.

Mia comes out with a pink and white striped two piece on.

The other girls look quite nice as well. the boys are all dressed up. Well, except for Louis and Eleanor. they're going surfing.  so they have their wet suits on. " I packed lunches so we don't have to come back and eat." Dani says. "yeah, i put them in the cooler by the back door." Liam says pointing behind him.

We can easily walk to the beach through the back door. We have a pool with a gate around it connecting it to the beach. i hold the gate open for everyone and we all head to the beach.

"ahh! the sands reaaaaally hot!" Mia yells. "here." i give her a piggy-back ride. "put me down niall!" she squeals.

"NEVER!" i yell back. She tickles my sides and i let her go. I run into the water hand in hand with Mia.

we try to jump waves and fall, getting sand burn on our knees. I turn to look at Harry and Meredith. "Harry! Quit pulling my bottoms off!" She yells, chuckling. Louis and El are catching waves, while Zayn and Perrie Lay out in the sand. "do you see Liam and Danielle?" I ask. "they're over there." Mia says pointing. Liam's paying for ice cream with Dani. I scruff my hands through my hair getting the water out. Mia swims out farther than me. A wave comes and it takes her under. "Mia!" But sure enough she comes right back up.

But she's coughing. Trying to regain her breath. "" i swim over to her and take her hand. I pull her closer to shore, where the waves aren't as high.

"are you okay?" i laugh. she nods wrapping her arms around me. "come on." she pulls me out of the water and we dry off. She slips on white shorts and a see-through American flag tank top as i put on my Punk shirt.

"we'll be back later you guys." i yell everyone. Mia and i walk to the beach shops. She goes by the jewelry and i stay by the souvenirs. i find a shirt with "Miami Beach!" written on it.

I find Mia looking at shell necklaces. "This is very pretty. Um, how much?" The foreign cashier raises an eyebrow.  "12 dollars." Mia goes and pays for it. "thank you so much." i pay for my shirt and meet Mia outside.

"here." i drape the necklace around her neck. "thanks." she turns around and i kiss her. She takes my hand and we go walk around Miami some more. "an ice cream shop! can we go inside pleaseeee?" she whines.i shrug and laugh.

"hi, can i get the Superman kind?"

"and i'll have Chocolate." i tell the lady.

"13.76" I hand him my card and i get a tap on the shoulder. "oh my gosh, can i have a picture? oh wait.. are you on a date? im so sorry!"

"You're fine,Love!" Mia adds from the side. "MIA THOMPSON. OH MY GOODNESS."

"would you still like that picture i wink at the fan who looks about 13. she nods fast. Mia and i lean in and smile. "thank you so so much!"
