How it is, and why I hate it

I got up early that morning, well, not really. It was the usual time I wake up at.
I pulled out whatever was clean from my dresser which was, a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a grey sweatshirt. I went for my glasses, putting them neatly on the bridge of my nose.
Nothing really nice looking, I then just got my backpack and pulled it over me shoulders and began to walk out, my mom not even asking if I had eaten breakfast.
I don't usually skip breakfast, I started skipping it a bit ago, food didn't attract me anymore.
I started off on my way to school, the cars in the street rushing past, the rout to school pretty straight forward.
I reached school in about nine minutes, as I lived only half a mile away. I shifted my backpack so it was more comfortable.
As I walked into school campus I was instantly met with someone jumping me. My glasses almost fell of even.
" Hey nerd." the other taunted.
" What do you want.?" I asked, trying not to sound scared.
" Are you going to hang out with your friends? Oh wait, you don't have any."
" I do, as far as I know."
" Say, why don't you hang out with us?"
    " No thanks."
" What, you scared of us."
" I'm not scared of any of you."
" Yeah right, see you in class nerd."

I walked over to first period, getting pushed around a little, shoved down once or twice but that was normal for me.
Second period I got kicked during the passing period, twice, less than usual.
Brunch came and I hurried to finish my core homework, I got a bottle of water poured on my head, I usually get hit and thrown against walls.
Third and fourth period I only was pushed around during our break.
Fifth period nothing happened, which was suprising and almost scary.
Lunch came and it was uneventful in the same foreboding and creepy way, as if everyone was avoiding me.
Sixth and seventh period came and went by quickly.
After seventh period I walked to the front of the school as I was thrown down.
"Guess your info was right man, I gotta pay you back." someone yelled as my face made contact with the floor. I groaned in pain, I felt something warm on my forehead near my temple. I lost consciousness and everything went black.

When I woke up I was in the hospital, my vision was blurry and I was naseuated. There was something soft and cloth like on my head, gauze around my chest and my arm was in a cast.
When I coughed it was rough against my throat.
My chest contracted painfully and my breathing was constricted.
The swing door to my "room" was opened by a one of the nurses, I guessed that she was here to check up on me and to make sure I was still alive. It turned out I was right.
I tried to remember what happened, the last thing I remember was what that guy had said and hitting the ground.

The doctor walked in and greeted me politely and tried to explain what had happened to me. I returned his politeness and listened but I already knew. They had waited for me, the bullies, my attakers and tormenters.
They had beat me down and were probably wanting to kill me.
I spent the night in the hospital, neither of my parents visited me.
