Saturday finally came, two days off Alec said to himself I’m so pleased the last couple of days had been so busy and he had really missed Claire. They had arranged on Friday that they would spend most of Saturday together culminating with spending some time at Alec’s home as she was now feeling quite brave now that there had been no further occurrences.
They arrived back Alec’s in the early afternoon as they were to watch a couple of DVD’s together. It was around 6.00pm when Claire said she’d better be getting home okay I’ll walk you back. Alec got back around 6.30pm and locked the door behind him and went into his living room, but stopped dead in his tracks as there standing right in front of him was the little girl Sue. “I need your help” she again said to him that I already know that replied Alec but who are you? I’m Sue, yes I know you’ve already told me, but what do you want? “I need your help” we’re not going to get very far like this are we?, what do you need and where are you from Alec asked her. If you help me then I will be able to help you she replied, okay then I’ll ask you again how can I help you? I need you to take me home was the reply and where is home? home is not here and not now. Where is home? thinking I’m finally getting somewhere thought Alec. Home is far away from here, how far Alec queried 20, 30, 50 miles? distance is of no relevance I’m not of your world, I am not of this form, I do not belong and I must return home. I have to go now I do not have the power to remain in this form for long it is better for me when it is not light and your long haired companion must also be here for she is needed and before Alec could say anything she disappeared.
Bloody hell! he exclaimed how on earth am I going to persuade Claire to come back to my place and be part of this? and what did this girl mean “I’m not of your world, I am not of this form, I do not belong” where is the hell she from? and what does she mean? he thought. He spent a very troubled night with little sleep.
He got up the following morning and got himself ready and then began thinking how am I going to persuade Claire to come back here and meet this creature. I don’t like doing this but I’m going to have to use a little subterfuge. He spent the day with Claire mainly in town but it was starting to rain and rain heavily so Alec’s place was the nearest so they hurried there, they were half drenched by the time they got there but just in time for it had got very dark and a thunderstorm was just about to break. I’d better ring mom and let her know where I am and let her know I’ll be back as soon as the storm clears, I’ll get you a towel said Alec.
Partially dry they sat and decided to watch the thunderstorm which was now erupting around them. The storm was a severe one and although it was only around 4.00pm it was as dark as midnight which meant the view of the storm was spectacular not only did every flash of lightening light the sky it was so bright it lit the room. We got back just in time said Alec as the thunder crashed around them and the rain started to come down in biblical proportions, they went to the window so that they could get a better view of the lightening. There was one flash of lightening which caused them to jump away from the window as one fork of lightening stuck a tree 20 feet from where they were standing. That was a little too close remarked Claire and beautiful as lightening is I wish this storm was over it’s a bad one. Come on then we’ll watch from the comfort of the sofa said Alec putting his arm around her shoulder. They turned around to go back to the sofa just as the next flash of lightening made its appearance Claire let out a scream and clung onto Alec for there right in front of them was the little girl Sue.
