what if human hearts were bound together originally that's why the shape of a heart is like two human hearts tied together then someone just ripped the hearts apart and put them in random people who are set off into the world in different places and when you find your soulmate, you'll know because your heartbeats will match which explains where "my heart skipped a beat" came from because then, the heart would know that it's not alone in beating
