Summertime in Atlanta, GA......
Safiyya (Sa- Fie-Ya)
"So baby you gone let a nigga take you out or what?" I asked the fine lil breezy that stood before me bowleg and thicker than peanut butter. This broad was one tough ass shorty too. I had been trying to persuade her out to eat for about thirty minutes. We was going straight to the chicken and waffle joint down on Cascade Rd. I didn't wine and dine these birds. I just put a lil food on their stomach so they would have the energy to get they backs broke in properly.
Now, I wasn't no Keith Sweat ass nigga to be on no begging shit, but Miss lady was challenging a nigga worse than the ACT, SAT. LSAT, all that hard ass school shit put together. But, I, Safiyya, always got what I wanted and it wouldn't be any different this time around.
"So what if I let you take me out? What you expecting out of it? I hope you don't think I'm finna open my legs cause you bought me a little meal. I can buy my own lunch playboy."
She looked up at me through thick eye lashes and honey brown contacts. Who she thought she was fooling though? I been peeped her out a few weeks ago and her shit wasn't as light as they were now. I shook my head as I took off my Atlanta Falcons fitted and trekked a hand over my growing hair. Thanks to my half Dominican blood, my shit was a curly mess making me look like a fuck'n pretty boy or some shit. I was far from it though. I was a thug ass nigga through and through.
"Baby girl look....no disrespect....it's so many females I could call right now if I wanted to wet my dick up just because. I don't ask no chick more than once if she wanna go out. I peeped ya on ya independent steelo. I know you can do a lot for yourself. That's why I want to treat you baby girl." I told her as she hung on to my every word. I was so full of shit right now that I needed a laxative. I could give a fuck about what she did. I just wanted to tear that throat up.
"You know what? I kind of dig you because you're honest no matter how ugly the truth is....so yeah...we can..." Her words trailed off as we looked up to see what bitches was making so much noise yelling and carrying on down the street.
When I realized who it was, walking down the street I already knew what time it was. I scoped Beja's little ass and her two side kick twins Tamia and Lamia. I already knew how they rocked and I knew if they made it to the corner where lil mama and I were posted they were going to start some shit.
"Rodddeeelllll! I know you hear me nigga! Shaquandraneice said lil Rodell need some pull ups. He on his last one and he just shit. Got the whole house smelling like spoiled cheese, eggs boiled in mop water, and Funyuns." Beja screamed as she got a little closer to us.
Me and lil mama looked around trying to figure out who Beja was talking to but every time my eyes scanned the semi empty street I came up with nothing. I immediately knew what she was on. I was this Rodell character. She knew good and fuck'n well that was not my name. And I didn't have no kids nor did I have a bitch named Sharonda, Shaquille, or whatever the fuck Beja was ranting about.
"Who is that crazy little girl hollering at Safiyya? Whoever Rodell is needs to get her young ass in line." Lil mama said as she twisted her nose in aggravation.
Lamia and Tamia were laughing their asses off as they approached us now only a few steps away. I snatched lil mama's phone out of her hand and called my phone so that we could exchange numbers. I had no time to ask for her name before Beja, Lamia, and Tamia walked up looking like they wanted to murder something.
"Shit." I whispered under my breath as nervousness washed over me. I had no idea where the nervousness came from though. I was a grown ass man and Beja was like my little sister. Well the play sister that had a secret crush on her brother's homeboy. I had peeped that shit long ago.
