The year is 2077. Well, to be honest im not really sure. Time hasnt really been kept as well as it was in the old days. Before the bombs dropped..... Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself! Well my names Joseph Alpine first of all. Im around 20 to 24 years old at the moment and if your reading this im most likely dead or it fell out of my bag. Ive been on the road for about 2 months now looking for my father. You see it was always just me and my dad. Mom died in the war when i was 7 months old. My Dad told me they were looking for supplies in an old supermarket when a mortar shell hit the store. She...she.........You know what? Lets change the subject. My father, Isaac Alpine, started a small outpost in the suburbs outside the small town of college park, georgia. Nothing major, just a trading outpost and inn for weary travelers. We ran it for a good 8 years I think. Me running supplies and my dad haggling with merchants and their mercenaries. Good times, but thanks to the GREAT fucking idea that I had to join up with the local militiamen. Which was basically the remnants of soldiers and policemen who trained a bunch of guys to fight. I thought they'd protect us from raiders and the soldiers would buy from us more. BUT NOOOOooooOoo since my father was was experienced with the area he was sent as a guide for the expedition team. He was fine with it,said he be back in a few weeks. I got a friend to help me run shop, one of the militiamen did too. So we did, I was left in charge and he went off with the squad to "expand and reclaim the lands of old" or whatever bullshit propaganda they spill. Long story short they were attacked, my dad and a majority escaped. They radioed back to town saying they needed help back because most were wounded and the had few supplies left. SO GUESS WHO THEY FUCKING CALL ON TO SUCK A DICK FOR THE TOWN AND GO SAVE THEM? Ugh me, but that's enough for now it's getting light and I née to move
