In Shizume City, Arisu and I started attending the local school that was in our area. The school was fine and all about, but there was of course something missing. The fun, the excitement! There was nothing of that there. It was just plain old study, study, and make good grades. It was extremely boring! Arisu, on the other hand, thought of it as a way to have fun. Figured, out of the two of us, she was the straight A child.

A few days into our new life in Shizume City, Arisu had already made friends with the kids at school and around the neighbourhood while I just was left alone. I didn't mind being alone, strangely, I felt good when I was left by myself. When left alone, I could go out and try to find a good place to make my headquarters at (I was not going to sit around and do nothing) and maybe find some kids willing topping me in the fun. If there was any.

While Arisu was having fun with her friends and school, I became the leader of a small kid delinquent group in Shizume. Though the group was small, everyone in it were all different and had many sorts of  talents. I became good friends with them and they all, for some stranger reason, started calling me Sadistic Devil. Why? I don't know.

A year after we moved to Shizume City, two strange man on a black and golden outfit with golden bunny masks appeared at our doorsteps. Mother was not at all surprised at their appearance, instead, she looked as though she had been expecting them. Mother and the weird people talked for a bit, after their talk, which took about half an hour, they left. When they left, mother called Arisu and I back downstairs and she had a long talk with us.

"Because of some difficulties at work," mother started as she was talking about her work as a historical scientists for the the country. "I will be leaving the country." There had been a deep and gloomy atmosphere hanging around the room as she said that. It wasn't something different then she had done in the past, but, we were not in the past and whenever she had to leave for something important as that In the past, she always left us with one of her good friends. But, we were not in that past.

Arisu started crying and mother had to try to comfort her. I kept my composure and tried not to cry. Whenever mother left, it was always the same routine. Arisu crying, mother comforts her, and I stay the same. It's always like that.

"I will be back." Mother soothed with an uncertain but relaxed smile. All we could do was try to look happy for her. Her job meant something entirely of importance to her than us.

After our little talk, mother started packing for her job trip and in less than five days, she was on the aeroplane flying to another country to start her job. We were left in the care of a distant relative of our mother who also lived in Shizume. Her name, Honami Kushina. A young woman in her late twenties. With the young woman was a girl. About some years younger than us. The girl, I would soon come to recognise as an equal later on.

Anna Kushina.
