Miraculous: Tales Of The Four

Chapter 2:

Chat Noir stared at Ladybug baffled. What was she thinking at a time like this? There were two akumas on the loose and all she was doing was staring blankly at the ground. If even Ladybug didn't know what to do, then how would they cope? Chat Noir began to lose hope when suddenly, Ladybug summoned her lucky charm.

Out from the sky, a nail clipper fell. A nail clipper? Seriously? She thought. Using her 'polka dot vision', she focused on Mr. Pigeon's bird call. Suddenly, she knew what to do.

"Now what?" Chat Noir asked.

"This." She smiled.

Lunging forward, she threw the nail clipper at Mr. Pigeon's bird call. The blade sliced the string and it fell to the ground. Quickly, Ladybug leaped over, picked up the bird call with its broken string, and tied Rogercop's hands together with it. She grabbed his miraculous whilst Chat Noir smashed the bird call. First, Ladybug de-akumatized Mr. Pigeon, then Rogercop. The miraculous ladybugs fixed everything and all was returned to normal.

"Phew, almost had us there," Chat Noir laughed in relief.

He looked over at Ladybug with his fist out expecting a 'pound it.' Instead, he found her staring blankly at the floor with her hand on her chin, thinking. She was doing that thing again. That thing where she would think aloud and talk to herself, completely ignoring Chat Noir.

"m'lady?" Chat Noir asked shaking his hand in her face. "Ladybug!"

No response.

"Two akumas..." Ladybug mumbled. "Two akumas? Has that ever happened? What does this mean? Should we ask Master Fu? We should go find Master Fu."

Chat Noir groaned and sulked, waiting for attention. He heard a beep coming from Ladybug's earrings.

"LB, we should get going." He advised.

"Will there be more akumas? Maybe three? No. Wait. Maybe?" She mumbled quietly.

"And here we go again." He grumbled.

The ringing sound of another beep caught his ear.

"Time to go bugaboo," He cooed.

Swiftly, he grabbed her by the waist and pole vaulted away clutching her tight. She obviously wasn't paying attention. He turned to her whilst still moving.

"Hey," He tried to get her attention.

"Wall." She responded.

"Eh?" He asked.

Before they could say anymore, he crashed into the wall, still clutching Ladybug. Ladybug prepared prior to hitting the wall and had already equipped her yo-yo and threw it onto a railing. They were left hanging by the string.

"Told you," She giggled.

Chat Noir muffled whilst still in pain before repositioning his pole so that they could get down. Gracefully, they hopped onto the concrete and ran down an alleyway trying to stay hidden from the paparazzi. There they discretely transformed.

"My face hurts," Adrien complained.

Marinette giggled quietly trying not laugh at his pain. He simply pouted at her remark but soon smiled.

"Ah well, should we go see Master Fu?" He asked.

"Oh yeah! Quickly," Marinette remembered.

Together, the couple tried to stroll out of the alleyway as casually as they could.

"Think anyone noticed?" Adrien whispered.

"Nope. Just keep walking and don't make eye-contact with people." She hurried on.

Adrien quietly laughed at how nervous she had just become. Soon, the two arrived at Master Fu's home.

"Ah, Marinette, Adrien," He slowly said.

"Today we encountered two akumas, has that ever happened?" Marinette hastily asked.

"Not that I know of. Maybe many years ago, when I wasn't born." Master Fu stroked his chin.

"May I ask, how old are you?" Adrien hesitated.

"187," Master Fu laughed.

The two stared completely stunned.

"Really? You don't look it," Adrien scratched his head.

"There is something I need to discuss with you," Master Fu said.

The couple eagerly listened.

"I think it would be best if you do in fact go to China." He stated bluntly.

"Wait so you were serious!? I can't go to China! China! The faraway China!" Marinette panicked.

"Here we go again," Adrien quietly chuckled.

"China!" She kept mumbling and yelling in the background.

"You'll be fine right?" Master Fu directed his question at Adrien.

"Absolutely fine." Adrien laughed.

"I was also thinking, you may need some help." Master Fu suggested.

The room immediately fell silent.

"Help...? What do you mean... help?" Marinette hesitated.

"If the akumas get any worse, we have three more miraculous including mine. I'm too old anyway." He said.

"Are you saying that we are going to be working with more superheroes?" Adrien asked.

"Depends. We'll see. I already have two in mind." Master Fu smiled.

"Already?" The two said in sync.

"Indeed, but that's not important. You two continue to fight akumas and we'll see if anything changes. I need to meditate now, come back if there is any more trouble." He quietly said.

The pair quietly and quickly crept out. On the way back to school they discussed the matter.

"He already chose two," Marinette whispered.

"Maybe... but remember, he said it depends," Adrien pondered.

"Wait, how long were we gone?" Marinette panicked.

"About an hour or two?" Adrien said with uncertainty.

"Oh no, Alyas probably freaking out right now," Marinette groaned. "So what's our excuse today?"

"Rogercop shot us with his lasers and we were forced to do rubbish duty on the other side of the city." Adrien fluently said.

"Oh, seems you've got this covered," Marinette smirked. "I didn't think you were smart enough,"

"You've cat to be kitten me!" Adrien laughed.

"It was a joke, hold your whiskers!" Marinette laughed too.

They continued to make puns until they finally reached the school via bus. Obviously, Alya and Nino were outside the school panicking.

"Marinette! Adrien!" Alya exclaimed. "Oh, you're alright!"

She sighed with relief. Marinette explained the whole situation and Alya fell for it.

"Alright, classes are starting up again, let's go," Alya suggested pulling Nino along.

Behind them, Marinette and Adrien walked as a pair. They fist bumped discretely and he winked at her. They succeeded this time. Two akumas in one go though Marinette still wondered about Master Fu's words.
