Emma put down her book as she heard her phone ringing, bringing it to her ear once she answered it. "Hey Isaac, I thought you're working. What's up?" She could hear him taking rapid, shaky breaths.

"Emma," he said quietly. "Emma, I need help. I got attacked by some... some animal."

She threw her book down and jumped up, already looking around for her sneakers. "I'm on my way. Are you at the cemetery?"

"Yeah," he said, though it sounded like a gasp. "Please hurry."

She slipped her sneakers on quickly before grabbing her keys and running out to her father's car. "I'm on my way right now. Stay on the phone with me, okay?"

"Okay," he said quietly.

She pulled out of the driveway. "Did you call 9-1-1?"

"No, I called you. No hospital, I'll be fine. I just need to get out of here."

Tuned onto the next street. "Are you hurt?"

"Just around my stomach."

Before she knew it, she was at the cemetery. "Isaac?!"

"Over here!" His all-too-familiar voice came from a bench about twenty feet away as he stood up slowly, wincing from the pain.

She ran over to him and put one of his arms over her shoulder to support him. "You don't look fine, Isaac."

"I'll be okay, just bring me home."

"To your father?! No way! I'm bringing you to my house." She lowered him into the passenger's seat of the car and quickly got into the driver's seat, driving back to her house war above the speed limit.

When they finally got there and she dragged him up to her room, she grabbed the first-aid kit she kept in her bathroom and sat down beside him, removing his shirt so she could see the damage clearly. She quickly washed out the wound and wrapped his torso in bandages as he recounted the attack to her.

"That's horrible," she said as she placed the kit on her nightstand and stood up.

"Where are you going?" He grabbed her hand and looked up at her.

"To grab a pillow and blanket. You need to rest, and you're probably not gonna sleep very well sharing a twin sized mattress with somebody while your stomach is heavily wrapped in bandages."

He shook his head and pulled her back towards the bed as he sat up slowly. "I always sleep great here. Come on, please? It'll make me feel better."

She sighed, knowing she wouldn't win, and sat down beside him. "All right." She carefully helped him lay back down before laying down herself.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him, putting his chin on top of her head. "Thank you."

She opened her eyes and tilted her head upwards, giving him a quick kiss on the bottom of his jaw. "No problem at all."

He tilted his head down and planted a soft kiss on her lips, pulling her even closer to him. He slowly reached for the hem of her Tee-shirt - well, his Tee-shirt - and balled the material in his hands.

She reached down to his hands, breaking the kiss. She pulled his hands up, removing the Tee-shirt from her body. She then kissed him again, tangling her hands in his hair.

He kissed her back gently, softly pulling her on top of himself and putting his hands on her waist. "I love you," he muttered into the kiss.

"I love you more," she whispered back.

He kissed her again, then slowly kissed her many times, starting at the corner of her lips and ending when he reached the base of her neck.

And then, she yawned. She started laughing, as did he, and she laid back down beside him. "You feel better now?"

He smiled slightly. "I guess. But I would feel much better if we kept going."

She chuckled.  "Nice try, Lahey."

"I'm injured, it'll make me feel better."

She rolled her eyes as she laid back down.  "Nice try."

He sighed and laid down beside her.  "Can't blame me for trying."

She put her head down on his shoulder as she closed her eyes.  "Before I start falling asleep, you're positive you're okay?"

"As long as I'm with you, I'll always be okay."

"Very cheesy, Lahey.  But seriously, are you sure you'll be alright?"

He nodded, putting his arms around her.  "I'm positive."

She smiled slightly before cuddling into his side.  "Okay.  Good night, I love you."

He spoke quietly.  "I love you too."
