Lucina's POV
The awkward silence probably has been there in that spacious room for hours. No one made even the slightest sound as they waited for my answer. Why couldn't a simple 'no' leave my lips? Why was I becoming hesitant about my decision?
Did...did I want to be trapped within these walls?
"Lucina."
I snap my head towards the brunette.
"I want you on my squad for specific reasons. Not like my other subordinates, I need you for special missions."
"Hanji. I will not allow you to use her to catch titans, besides, you already have enough people on your squad."
Hanji interrupted Erwin by complaining, losing that serious face she had on. I found it hilarious since I was supposed to look at her as a grown woman, not an immature child.
"But, steering away from that topic, I would like to place some tests on you first to grade your skills, endurance, intelligence, and how well you'd do with the 3dmg, would that be alright for you?"
He spoke it like a command, rather than a question. It irritates me how these people command things as if they ruled the world. Just because you have seen a titan, killed a titan, and kept your squad alive, doesn't mean I will look up to you. And that doesn't make you invincible or even strong enough in reality.
So this man could rule the world and I wouldn't waste a breath on him.
I narrow my eyes at his slight smirk. He knows I can't escape. I know nothing about how things run behind these walls. I could see that he already formed an entire plan if I were to ever escape from these suffocating walls.
"...I have no choice."
He nods in approval, his icy blue eyes never leaving my bright scarlet ones. He calls towards Mr. Twinkie who stood, but never moved from his spot to 'escort' me to training ground.
I'll most likely escort myself.
Levi's POV
Damn it all Erwin. You know perfectly as well as I, that that brat will just skip herself away to the fucking training grounds.
I close my eyes to take in a deep breath, letting out a long sigh afterwords.
"'Tsk.' This way, Haduwig-"
By the time I turned around, the brat was already gone, Hanji on the ground in shock, her bag and book nowhere to be found.
"Shitty glasses...where is she?"
"I-I didn't even see her move! Once I blinked I was already on the ground!"
I growled in frustration at this woman's stupidness. The brat is slick.
I didn't need Erwin to say anything, for I was already heading out the doors.
"I got it."
After turning corners I guessed she chose, I started to get irritated to find her.
Exactly WHERE the hell is she?
I narrowed my eyes slightly when I catch a glimpse of silver from the corner of my eye. Immediately I follow. I soon as I turned, the front door of the Survey Corps gently closed. I scurried out the door, only to see that the brat hadn't walked away from the building to run free, but headed towards the back where the training grounds were.
