Rome POV
"Custody of your daughter? Full?" She asked.

"Yes." I sighed.

"Why?" She cooked.

"Because you don't know what goes in that house. Kellica is capable of doing anything with her boyfriend.".

"I don't think it's safe for my daughter." I added.

"Well your going to have to need some proof first.".

"Yeah but I know when my daughter isn't safe." I put my hand on my head.

"Amara!" She called her.

"Yes?" She skipped in.

"What happens at home with your mommy?" She asked.

"I don't wanna say." She mumbled.

"What did you say?" I bent down.

"I don't wanna talk about it!" She ran off.

"I'll go after her." Imani followed her.

Having a daughter is too much..

Imani POV
"Amara?" I knocked on her door.

She didn't say anything.

"Don't worry it's just me.".

"Come in.." She spoke.

I went in and she was sitting down on the edge of her bed.

"You okay?" I rubbed her back.

"Yeah." She sighed.

"You okay if you tell me what happens at home?" I asked.

"Mommy and Trey beat me all the time. I hate it there. I love daddy!" She told me.

"How do they beat you, why?".

"Yesterday I got a beating because I didn't finish my food." She pointed at her thigh.

"Do you want to show me?".

She nodded her head and pulled her trousers down. She showed me red mark. It was really big!

"Oh my god." I gasped and covered my mouth.

She put her trousers back up with me helping her.

"I didn't wanna tell daddy because he get angry. I hate angry daddy." She looked into my eyes.

She was so cute when she was upset. Amara was light skinned with brown curly hair and brown eyes.

"Well, if I tell daddy then he won't get angry, okay?".

"Yes." She nodded.

I held her hand as we walked out of the room together. We walked back into the kitchen and Rome was sitting at the island with his head in his hands.

"Amara, go and play with your toys for a bit." I told her.

"Okay." She nodded.

I sat in front of Rome.

"Rome?" I tapped his arm.

"Yeah." He looked up.

"Amara told me that she gets beaten by Kellica and her boyfriend." I sighed.

"What?!".

"She said she didn't want to tell you because you'll react like this.".

"I'm still getting full custody." He smacked his teeth.

I continued cooking and made dinner. Once lunch was ready, I called everyone to eat.

"Lunch is  ready!" I called.
