Chapter 3

Dinner

Bongbong and Leni got to know more of each other because of this dinner. Leni discovered that Bongbong was quite kind and such a gentleman and Bongbong learned that Leni is a strong and independent woman.

"Bong, I just really want to apologize again for all the accusations I have said and for blaming you for the things we should not talk about anymore. After knowing who you really are tonight, I really felt guilty for what I have done. Sinira ko yung reputasyon mo sa mga tao." Leni shyly said. "Ano ka ba! Okay lang. Ganun talaga ang politika. May mga times na nagiging dirty ang politics. Sanay na ako." He assured.

"Sigurado ka ha? No hard feelings?" Leni asked. "Nope. Don't worry. Okay lang talaga. Basta masaya na ako na magkaibigan na ulit tayo." Bongbong gladly said.

"Bakit ba ang bait bait mo? Mas lalo tuloy akong naguguilty!" Leni laughed as she finished the meal on her plate. "Oh tara na?" Bongbong politely asked. "Huh? Eh di pa tayo nakakabayad ng kinain natin ha." Leni was confused. "Hindi na kailangan. Cousin ko ang may ari ng restaurant na ito. We can eat here anytime." Bongbong explained.

"Seriously? That's amazing. So libre talaga ang lahat ng pagkain for you. Wow." Leni was in awe. "Yup. Pretty much sums up what I just said." Bongbong replied and they both laughed.

Leni stood up and her handkerchief fell of her lap. Both of them tries grab the handkerchief but grabs each other's hands. They couldn't avoid having eye contact with each other as they grabbed it. They kept on glazing on each other's eyes for seconds then snaps back to reality. Bongbong grabs it and gives it to Leni.

"Panyo mo oh." Bongbong gave the handkerchief but avoided looking at Leni. "Thank you. Sorry nga pala." Leni looked down in embarrassment. "Hindi, Okay lang. Sorry rin. Tara na. Hatid na kita sa bahay mo." He changed the topic to ease out the awkward aura that surrounded them.

They both went outside where Bongbong's car was parked but Leni felt hesitant on riding home with Bongbong. "Kahit wag mo na akong ihatid. Okay lang. Kukuha na lang ako ng taxi diyan sa tabi tabi." Leni said. "Leni, wag na. Gagastos ka pa and gabi na noh! Baka kung ano pa ang mangyari sa'yo dito. Makonsyensya pa ako." Bongbong forced Leni to ride with him.

"Okay lang talaga. Nakakahiya na kasi eh." She said. "Anong nakakahiya sa pag hatid sayo?" Bongbong felt confused. "Ah basta wag na talaga. Okay lang." Leni exclaimed. "Nako Leni. Ayokong mapahamak ka diyan sa daan. Concerned ako sayo. Makinig ka sa akin. Please." Bongbong begged.

Leni blushed pink as she heard that from Bongbong. She really felt special after what he said so she agreed to make him bring her to her house.

"Sige dito na ako." She announced. Bongbong stopped the car in front of a simple house inside a subdivision. "Dito ka pala nakatira?" Bongbong asked. "Oo bakit?" Leni said. "Wala lang. I've always been curious of where you lived." He said. "Mag isa ka lang diyan?" He added. "Nope. Kasama ko dito yung mother ko." She explained.

"Oh I see. Sige alis na ako. Ingat ka diyan." Bongbong bid. "Oo sige. Bye! Ingat ka rin!" Leni said. "Okay bye! Good night." Bongbong said. "Bye." She waved and he drove drove off.
