Chapter 2.

Caden's POV

When Riley said those hurtful words, my heart sank. I know my reputation is bad, but I really like her. I've been trying to get her out of my head lately. Nothing is working. She's better then any other girls I've been with.

You let her walk away! She's ours no one can have her! My wolf Ace hissed at me. She's not ours. We haven't even found our mate yet. Calm the fuck down.

I walked back to the pack house and went straight to my room. Brittany was waiting for me. Ugh! I don't want her right now. I want Riley!

She looked at me and smiled. She stood up and sauntered over towards me. Swaying her hips. She has a banging body. To me she's just a fuck buddy. She thinks I'm her mate, but I'm not. She doesn't understand that.

"No. I'm not in the mood." I said and rolled my eyes as I laid on the bed. My face in the pillow. She came over and straddled my butt and gave me a massage. I groaned. I've been so stressed lately.

"What's wrong? Am I not what you want anymore?" She asked. Yes.

"Yes. Exactly. I need to focus on stuff for when I find my mate. 2 weeks till my birthday and I can finally meet her." I said. Starring into the ceiling.

She scoffed and got off and got redressed. She stormed out of the room.

Thank god she's gone. I don't want anything to do with her anymore. I got dressed and went for a walk. I still had Riley's scent fresh in my nose. So I wondered where she was going in such a hurry. I followed her scent and it was to someone's house. But who? Her boyfriend?

No. Not her boyfriend she can't have one. That's our job later. What do you mean. I don't like her like that. Haven't you heard everything about her? She's a slut and she killed her actual family causing her to be a foster kid. I can't love a loose murderer. (Loose, haha "slut" haha)

I walked towards the house and heard the door open. I quickly hid behind a bush.

"So what did he do?" I'm guessing her friend asked. Riley smiled and then frowned.

"He.." She paused. "He um, he kissed me." She said and looked at the floor.

Her friend gasped and punched her. I held back a growl. Don't hit her! Riley stumbled but didn't hit back.

"Katie stop. I don't even like him like that. I actually despise him." Riley said and laughed.
Did she really think that way towards me?

"Aw why, is he that bad?" Katie asked. Riley nodded.

"Plus I'll find my mate next month unless he's already that age. I don't want to get attached to someone and then leave and hurt them. I can't." Riley said, a frown on her face.

I walked out from behind the bush, a frown on my face. They were both startled and they jump.

"Jesus Caden! What the fuck are you doing here?" Riley asked. Her hand on her chest.

"I heard what you said. Do you really think that bad about me? Do you really not like me?" I asked her. I wanted to know.

"Well.. Um kinda. Your always with Brittany and other girls. It's like a hump and dump. I don't want to get hurt. Plus I want to find my mate first." She said and pulled Katie with her.

"Fine, I don't care. You're such a slut. Katie be careful she might try something on you." I sneered and walked away.

What is wrong with you! Why would you say that! My wolf yelled at me. I rolled my eyes and blocked him out.
