As I was walking up my front steps, the door flew open and Rebecca came running out. I quickly shielded myself thinking she was gonna hit me. It never came.

Instead it was a shaky hug. I furrowed my eyebrows.

I slowly wrapped my arms around her and asked what was wrong.

"Chad cheated on me and he is beating me. That's why I hit you. I'm sorry. He would hit me if I didn't hit you! I'm sorry Riley." I nodded and slowly rubbed her back and brought her inside.

"Pack a bag and meet me in the car." I headed to my room and packed a bag as well. Maybe it's a trick. Maybe she's luring me in to think I can trust her. I have to be careful.

I slowly walked down the stairs trying not to make noise. I hear whispers from the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" Chads voice. He sounds mad.

"I'm leaving. I can't be here anymore. I've realized how bad this all has been. I'm done." Rebecca.

I walk down and out the door. I wait in the car for Rebecca. After about 5 minute she came running out and she quickly jumped in the car.

"Go!" She yelled at me. I quickly pressed the gas, Chad comes running out of the house. He is yelling at us.

"Where are we supposed to go?" I asked her. She shrugged her shoulders and started to cry.

"I'm so sorry Riley. I really am. I never realized how bad of a mother I've been to you. I'm sorry." She cried. I awkwardly rubbed her back.

"It's fine, now I'm going to take you to a family's house or hotel. I have business to take care of and when I'm done I'll come get you okay.?" I said to her. She nodded and we pulled in to her moms house.

She looked horrified. "No. Please don't make me go in their. Chad will find me here. Take me to a hotel!" She pleaded. I sighed but nodded and pulled out of the very long driveway.

I took her to a hotel about 5 minutes outside of our territory. She grabbed her things and went in. Saying thank you on the way.

I took the car and drove it off a cliff. No evidence of us having Chads car. Perfect.

I shifted into my wolf and ran back to the border of our territory and was tackled by a dark grey wolf. By his scent I could tell it was Jason. The soon to be beta. He shifted back and put on shorts from behind a tree.

"Shift." He growled. Does he really not know me? I backed away and lowered my head shaking it.

"Shift now!" He repeated before his eyes glazed over to a grey. He was mind linking someone. Once his eyes returned to normal he rolled his eyes at me and grabbed a shirt from behind a different tree. He put it in my mouth and I quickly went behind a tree and shifted.

As I was pulling the shirt over my head I saw Jason staring at me so I blushed and pulled the shirt down quickly. He can't see my bruises. Hopefully.

As soon as I stepped out from the behind the tree he stared at me with wide eyes. Once again his eyes went to that grey color. He has been talking for a while now. It's been 10 minutes. Or atleast I think so.

His eyes changed back and he growled then waved me to follow him. I did as told.

He was walking me to the pack house and into a room. I looked at the door. It read 'ALPHA' in bold letters. My eyes immediately widened. What did I do?

Behind the big desk in the middle of the room was Alpha James. Caden's father. "Hello Riley." He speaks.

"Hi Alpha James." I say and bow my head.
He just chuckled and smiled at me. He got up from his chair and went to his bookshelf on the left side of the wall. He nods his head to the seats and waits for Jason and I to sit.
