Chapter-2

Kai gripped Kyungsoo and Baekhyun's hands tightly, willing them all to go to the safe place he had pictured in his mind. He imagined a beach. A beach that had mini huts all around so that they could stay safely somewhere. Maybe hiding in plain sight would be the best course to take now.

The familiar feeling of the world whirling around him made him feel anxious. He loved the feeling that came with teleporting. He breathed in the air, his mind calm and relaxed. He had never teleported so many people at once. It felt different. Not necessarily more difficult; however, he felt a slight strain and the pressure was higher.

Suddenly, he felt a gush of wind hit him in the face, along will all the remnants that stayed in the air. The smoke and sand sprayed him in the face. He coughed as the sand entered his nose. What was that? This wasn't meant to happen at all.

Wind. Sehun.

All of a sudden he felt lighter, like a part of him was ripped off.

And then they were falling onto the ground. Kai landed on his feet, stumbling and falling due to the sudden change in atmosphere.

He fell on all fours, coughing and trying to get rid of the sand that was blocking his airways. He squinted up at the sun and looked around. He expected to see people staring at them, or swimming in the sea. He expected to hear the laughter of children splashing about in the water and the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

But there was no sound.

Only the whistle of the wind that. And sand. As far as the eye could see. No sign of civilisation.

What happened to the beach he wondered?

He stood up quickly, causing his head to spin. He brought his hand to his head, grimacing at the slight throb that spread in his head. The sun blinded him and small beads of sweat trickled down his face.

He needed to find the others, quick.

Somewhere far off in the distance he spotted a man lying face down. He ran, slowly towards the body, feeling uncomfortable as the sand entered his shoes.

"Hyung!" he exclaimed.
Kyungsoo looked at Kai confused and clutched his head tightly in pain. Kai tried to help him sit up slowly, but Kyungsoo fell forward on his hands and knees and hurled up all the food he had in his stomach. Kai jumped back in surprise. He realised the teleporting must've affected him negatively. The sound was strained and Kai couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

"Kai, are the others with you?" Kyungsoo asked, wiping his mouth.

"No, you were the first. I think everyone got thrown in different ways," Kai answered, helping Kyungsoo stand up by holding his arms.

He saw Kyungsoo grimace and wondered if he was going to throw up again. "Okay, let's go look for them all then," Kyungsoo suggested.

They set off in the direction Kai had ran from and after climbing over many sand dunes, they finally found Chanyeol behind one. "Chanyeol-hyung!" the two exclaimed in unison.

Chanyeol turned his head to look at them, squinting in the sunlight. Slowly he walked towards them. "Where's Baekhyun, and everyone else?" Chanyeol questioned, worried.
