Chapter eleven
I was beginning panic. She was starting to fall over; her knees just gave out from beneath her weight. Her breathing was becoming hard and heavy. She had to lean her wait on me while I screamed my head off for the guys. Her hand lifted on my shoulder, and dropped again. I looked at her with wide eyes as her mouth trembled.
"Let...me...die..." She whispered so low, I barely registered the sentence. I shook my head; tears began to roll down my cheeks.
"No, no, you can't! David just got you back!" What am I saying? But what am I doing? I should be helping her, yet I'm starting to argue. I shook my head again, and called out for David.
"He...can't...hear...you..." Agatha smiled and created more wrinkles on her face. Her eyes began to lighten to a dark charcoal colour. I grabbed her hand and held it tightly in mine.
"I don't give a rat's ass what you say Agatha, but I'm not going to let David's love DIE." Again I called out for David, but this time differently. I removed myself from my body, entering Agatha's. Everything was weak, her heart beat was stuttering from the age attack, her lungs about to fail her.
I entered her mind swiftly since she didn't have her defense and tried to connect to David. First, I felt nothing and then began the tickling feeling I used to know. Before I know it, David's thoughts, smell, voice, touch entered my mind...our mind.
'David! David! Agatha is dying!' I cried out not hiding my fear.
"Melissa? How did you get there?' He asked. I rolled my eyes mentally.
'Doesn't matter now, come here now!' I slammed our minds closed, leaving him no other option and the sound of my voice echoing.
Before I left her body, I quickly looked over it. Blood wasn't getting anywhere and was stopping in her veins, her heart was barely beating, her muscles more gooey now. I held in a cry when I left her body, and looked into her eyes.
They were old, and deep. I felt as if secrets were just fading away, just like her soul. It was dying slowly, yet fast. They say that you eyes are the windows to your soul, and Agatha's soul looks clean and pure white. And then I noticed the colour of her eyes. They were grey-white.
More tears rolled down my face, and I almost fell to the floor when someone grabbed me and basically threw me to the side. I sat up on the ground, blinking my eyes clear to see David griping on to Agatha's now delicate, fragile arms.
"What have you done, Melissa?!" He looked at me, his eyes piercing through my body. Darts of pain began to poke at me in different spots. I shook them off.
"I didn't do anything!"
"Obviously you did! She is DYING." He was looking back at her now, bringing her slowly to lie on the ground and rest her head on his laps. Again, I got a déjà vu. I felt like I can create another ocean, for how much tears were flooding out of my eyes.
"You don't understand David! You weren't there..." I spoke through sobs.
"No, I understand you hate her, and you want her dead. What did you DO to her Melissa?!" He raised his eyes to meet mine, and pain struck again. How can he be doing this to me? I thought. Why would he hurt me?
