Riley's POV
I got on the subway with Maya to go to a freshman party. I was not happy about this. It was in Missy's penthouse. I tapped my foot and Maya said "What you freaking out about?" I said "Oh just going to the house of my arch nemesis who likes my umm friend." She said "Oh shush it we all know huckleberry adores you and friend is not the proper word I think boyfriend would better." I punched her arm and she mumbled a few unmentionable words. The subway stopped and we got off. We walked up and out then to a taxi. Called a taxi and paid and blah blah you know the deal. We walked into the penthouse and to the front desk. I said "Missy Bradfords party." She said "Floor ten there's balloons on the door." I nodded and said "Thanks so much have a good night." She smiled and Maya and me started walking to the penthouse. We finally got there and I was about to knock but Maya said "Sweetie you just walk in." I said "Oh." We walked in and the blaring of the Music hit me like a hammer. Maya linked our arms and started waking until a familiar voice came from behind us "Ladiesssss" we said in sync "Farkle" we turned around and hugged out smart best friend. He said "Surprised you came considering this is Missy's party." I laughed an said "Have you seen Lucas?" He said "Balcony." I said "Farkle you got Maya!" He nodded and pulled her onto the dance floor against her will. I walked to the balcony and Lucas was siting on a wooden porch swing. I said "Hey Lucas." He turned and said "Hey riles." I said "Mind if I sit?" He said "No come and pop a squat." His southern accent came out more. I said down and said "So.." He said "Your not happy about being here are you?" I said "Nope I have a feeling missy is going to show up and just make me feel bad about myself. His hand slid into mine and said "Yeah me too." I laughed and a annoy fake nasally voice came from behind us "Lucas babe." I sighed and let go of his hand. For the thousand time Lucas said "Missy don't call me babe." He sat there while I turned and missy snarled "Oh Riley is here." I scoffed while she pushed me out of my seat. She sat down and her already gory skirt hiked up worse. Her tiny top that was so low cut it made me shake. I looked and Lucas who was obviously uncomfortable. She was running her hands down his arms and chest. He said "Missy I was trying to talk to Riley." She said looking at me "Why talk to her when you can Talk to me." I scoffed and looked over the balcony at the city skyline. Lucas said "Missy you know you can leave. I don't like you and never will just give up would you I like Riley not you and your slutty fake clothes and hair and everything else." I loose at missy who said "Whatever but when you realize your dating this little vermin you will come running back to me." I said "Bye missy prissy." She scoffed and strutted away. I sat down next to Lucas and said "That was pretty awesome and you like me?" He said "Yeah Riley I really really like you. Ever since that day on the subway I have loved you." I smiled and said "Are you sure it won't be a repeat of seventh grade." He said "Lets see." His hands cupped my face lightly and pulled me in for a kiss. I wrapped my hands around his neck. I smiled into the kiss. Our lips molded together better than our first kiss. They moved in sync for a few more seconds until he pulled away saying "And that was my moment." I laughed and said "I assume you have many more moments to come." He said "Oh heck yeah." I giggled and hugged him tightly.
