Shawn ~
That's good enough.
I mumbled to myself as I looked at all of the empty boxes scattered across the lounge room. I walked over to the kitchen sink to wash my hands. As I began to rinse my hands under the running water, loud music began to ring in the air. What the heck?
There's hooting and hollering coming from the wall and very loud music. Has this been going on the entire time and was I just too busy to realize it? Maybe I'll just ignore. It can't be too bad from my bedroom, right?

10:57 PM
It is too damn loud. I. Can't. Sleep. My life is withering away. Jesus, I want to go to sleep.I rolled my eyes and got up off of my non-sheeted mattress. Why does there have to be a very loud party directly next door to me?
Nice first night.
I slipped my feet into my sneakers and put on a gray shirt and a pair of gym shorts. I'm too lazy to get properly dressed.
I walked out of my apartment to simply go to the door directly next to me. I knocked on the brown, wooden door three times. Immediately after the third knock, Camila opened the door and all of the music and loudness stopped. Is that all it takes?
"Hey, Shawn!" Camila greeted me with pretty smile. She held the door in one hand and a bottle of Budlight in the other. This is definitely one of THOSE parties.
"Hey, um, I was wondering if you could keep it down. I'm trying to sleep." I stretched my arms and yawned to exaggerate the fact that I was tired.
"Come on, Shawn. It's a Friday night. How do you expect us to be quiet? Why don't you come hang with us for a little bit?" She tilted her head and basically begged. Ok....
"I really have to get some sleep..."
"Just this one night? Can you do that?"
"I guess, but no alcohol for me." She smiled and pulled me into her apartment before closing the door. She dragged me all the way to her couch to sit next to her. She sipped some of her beer before lying her feet onto my lap. I looked around to see people dancing along to the loud music and drinking as much as the possibly can get in their hands.
"So," Camila spoke out, " what do you do?"
"I work for an advertising agency and-"
"Boring! Here, drink some." She cut me off and shoved her bottle in front of my face. I simply pushed it away and examined the room. I didn't know what to do when someone told me my life was boring.I could hear her sigh before she removed her legs from my lap and sat directly next to me.
"Sorry, it's not boring. Tell me what you do, for real." She looked into my eyes with sincerity. She actually cared to know, that's a first.
I explained to her my occupation and she looked at me in "aw."
"Wow, that actually wasn't as I boring as I thought it was going to be." She patted me on my back and leaned her head up against my shoulder.
"What about you?" I asked, holding her beer.
"Eh, I'm a journalist. Not a big one that travels the world, though. Just for the Los Angeles area and stuff." She shrugged in her reply.
"Thanks for asking," she continued," people never really ask about me. They usually just want to know where the beers are and if I have hot best friend. Don't know if it's because I'm a girl or if I'm me." She looked down at my legs.
"Well, I'm not them. So, you can count on me. If you ever want to talk, you can-" she fell right into my lap without a word. I moved hair from her face to see that she was knocked out. I didn't realize she drank that much. Maybe she just has a weak system.
She's definitely too drunk to wake up.
I can't leave her here by herself out cold, so I guess I'll just stay here until she wakes up. Or until everyone leaves. Whichever comes first.
