I sighed, picking my head up from the soft fluffy pillow covered in a blue cover, and pulled my blankets off. I sighed and ran my hand through my now knotted hair. Reluctantly, I threw my legs over the edge of my twin sized bed a stood up. The next thing I did was reach for my phone on the nightstand which was charging all night.

"Nothing," I muttered out loud. Maybe she's waiting till a day closer to the weekend, like Friday or Thursday. Yeah, that's it, just a couple more days. Maybe she'll even talk to me in the halls in between classes. I just know she will, we are partners for a big assignment that is worth a large amount of our grade in his class. I stretched briefly and walked over to my closet. I picked out an average outfit for the day and headed downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. At the dining table mom and dad were already sitting there with a plate of scrambled eggs and toast.

"Hey sweetie," Mom called out and smiled at me, "there is still some food on the stove. You need to make your own toast though, breads on the counter." She finished, and went back to eating her own breakfast. Well, I guess it's eggs and toast for breakfast again, it seems like that's the only thing mom knows how to cook. Groggily, I walked to the counter and stove to pop two slices of bread in the toaster. The I grabbed a plate from the cabinet and began piling on my breakfast, the most important meal of the day, as mom is always saying. It didn't take long for me to finish the eggs, toast, and a small glass of orange juice. So soon after I made my lunch, packed my bag, brushed my teeth and started heading outside.

'The bus is going to be here any second,' I thought as I looked at the watch on my wrist, the time reading 6:30. I'm not a very large fan of bus rides. Mainly because I'm one of the first stops so I have to be there for a while and everyone on the bus is so loud and annoying you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think no matter how hard you concentrated. Begrudgingly, I did board the bus as it came by, I may not like the ride, but it's no reason to skip school. Thankfully I had my MP3 player with me and a pair of earbuds so the ride wasn't too much of an internal catastrophe. Once at school I saw Chloe climbing out of a car, I could only guess it was her mom or someone else as the principle, her dad, should already be here. She saw me almost immediately and waved as I climbed off of the steps leading onto the sidewalk next to the school entrance. After I stepped away from the bus doors as not to block any body else from leaving it Chloe ran over to me, an apologetic look adorning her features.

"I am so sorry I couldn't text you last night! I ad volleyball practice and came home late, then I was stuck with homework. I am so sorry," After she had given her explanation she practically just kept repeating 'sorry' over and over again.

I stopped her before she could go on, "You know. It's fine. No need to apologize, will you be able to text me tonight?" I asked and she nodded vigorously, her orange curls bouncing everywhere and her emerald eyes glimmered.

"Of course! I don't have anything planned for after school besides doing my homework real quick," She said with a smile and began walking towards the building. I couldn't help but feel deep down that our conversation had been cut a little short. I only shrugged, not wanting to overthink it, and started into the building for my first class, Algebra.

The first three classes of the day were agonizingly long. Algebra was hard enough as it is, but we had a surprise quiz in band class and a substitute in History. I walked down to lunch where my friends were seated. Surprisingly all of them were here. Even Joan, who usually skips the whole day.

'One of these days he's going to get caught and then suspended for skipping' I thought to myself as I set my lunchbox down at my seat. Myself and two other friends are really picky about a certain 'seat chart' with rare exceptions when needed. We talked the whole time. Miranda got a new foal and won a new trophy for coming in first place with her close friend and horse Maggie, Jen just got accepted into five different colleges, Kayne flunked his band quiz, and Tillie scored a boyfriend. 'I guess they all had an eventful time recently, too bad my week has been practically as boring as a rock... Besides getting Chloe as my partner of course,' I thought with a dreamy sigh as the bell signaling lunch was over rang.
