There were two young boys about the age of young teens.Tsuchi was a nice individual and didn't enjoy violence at all let alone death. The other young boy was named Misuku, he admired the strong and worshiped the dead.He was the strongest between the two mentally only because he has a one track mind and could do anything and not feel sympathy. The two were best of friends and grew up with one another, and could never be separated until one day something changed their whole lives forever.... Misuku and Tsuchi both lived in different villages and were very poor but both villages were next to one another, so they got to see each other. One day in a small valley with trees here and there between the two villages, not to far from the main road Tsuchi was throwing rocks at targets he made out of straw and string while Misuku was swinging a carved out wooden sword he made himself.Suddenly two men were walking from Tsuchi's village over to Misuku's.Tsuchi tossed the rock at the target with little to no effort and hit the bullseye. The rock shattered the bark when it hit the tree behind it as he looked up and seen the two men walking by. "Hey Misuku-chan"? Tsuchi said with a suspicious look on his face."What is it Tsu-chan"? Misuku said while swinging his sword at a constant pace. "Look over there". as he nodded towards the men.Misuku then stopped swinging and stabbed the ground with his sword. He leaned against it as both Misuku and Tsuchi were looking at the strange men they have never seen before. One of the men stopped walking while the other kept going but shortly after the man stopped, turned, and looked back. From the perspective of the two men, they saw two kids.Tsuchi was startled for a second when they stopped but kept a hard stare. "The one who stopped first was taller than the other and had spiky hair but was wearing all black and so was the other" he thought to himself. But he could barely see because of the sun's heat wave.Misuku stared in silence not giving a second thought that they could be up to no good. In the eyes of the men who stopped the tallest one said " Do you think their apart of the village we just came from"? The smallest one said "Even if they are they'll come around soon- " That's not good enough! As theThe tallest one interrupted and said with a sinister look in his eyes. The older you are the weaker you get. Old man your loosing your touch". The kids looked in awe. They were in disbelief in what they were feeling, it was like they knew they were in the conversation and could feel the blood lust coming from them. They both gripped their tools in case anything happened. That's when Tsuchi smelt a faint familiar aroma in the air almost like someone was cooking. He turned towards his village then back to the two men who were now gone." They vanished" he thought and blamed it on the heat. He shrugged his shoulders looked over at Misuku and said in a fading voice" I think that someone is cooking from my village". Snapping Misuku from a semi-trance he had across his face." You ok man you look like you just seen a ghost"? he said in concern. Misuku overlooked this factor because he mustn't have seen what he did and was going to tell him later but then again how was he going tell him if he didn't know how to explain it". "Yea ... im alright". Tsuchi smiled and said "it's starting to get hotter so we should head back to my village to get some grub".Misuku nodded his head, but before they headed towards the village Tsuchi took his last rock and threw it at another one of his dummies hitting the marker through the chest zipping through the air until it was lost in the grass behind it. They both turned towards the village and started walking not knowing what awaited them.
Tsuchi put his arms behind his head and looked up following the thin clouds of charcoal smoke towards his village. Misuku looked up as well and it suddenly made his stomach turn. "That doesnt smell like food"as he squinted and thought to himself. Then as he was looking down to tell Tsuchi that it looked like trouble.Tsuchi turned his head over his shoulder with a serious look in his eyes and Misuku nodded his head in response and they both started running. As the two boys ran the clouds got bigger and red flairs began to spur out leading to his village. When they got to the village their eyes widened in disbelief. The village was engulfed in flames as if a demon was controlling it. They both stood rigid at the edge of the village."the flames are too wild, we'll get burned instantly if we go in there"Misuku thought gritting his teeth. "Most likely everyone is... is dead! There's no chance of survival". Balling up his fists he looked down in defeat as tears ran down his cheeks knowing that he had lost something valuable to him. "Mom.. Dad..." Tsuchi said under his breath. Misuku looked up and saw that his best friend was heading towards the fire. Tsuchi raised his hand in front of himself and took steps forward in the direction of the fire as if it were beckoning him to come join his village people. Misuku ran towards him and put him in a choke hold holding his arm back and trying to keep him away from the fire. "But Misuku... my mom... my dad... my aunt; sister; brother; the village men and woman their all in there"! "Tell me what I'm supposed to do?! I just can't leave them in there... they need me"! Tsuchi balled up his stretched out hand and looked at his friend. Misuku saw the pain and felt the emotion in his words. As waterfalls came from Tsuchi's eyes he said with a forced smile"let me go, I'll be fine". Misuku's eyes widened and he looked away thinking"this guy is insane but he has always been this way since they were younger. He looked back up at him then at the fire then back at him and with frustration he conceded and let him go.
