"Come here" I mumble. I pull up my gown to the bandage. I slowly peel it off and reveal the huge scar that hid underneath. I scoot over the best I can and pat on the small space for him to sit. I look into his glowing blue eyes and begin.
"A couple of years ago I got diagnosed with an extracranial germ cell tumor. That's when I stopped talking to you. The tumor basically crushed one of my ovaries and slightly injured the other. The cancer went away but the incision was very weak, they monitored it and it seemed fine, then it burst, plus I'm anemic so I fainted pretty quickly. And the pills, one is for my anemia and the other is so I could have a slight chance to have kids. And that's everything." He leaned over and kissed my forehead. His fingers traced my jaw line, then he rested his hand on my cheek.
"I could have helped you. Why didn't tell me?"
"I don't know." I knew why but I wasn't about to tell him. "Stop looking at me like that, Logan."
"Like what?"
"Like you pity me."
"It's not pity, trust me."
"What is it then?"
"I don't think you're physical or mental prepared for that answer." I look at his priceless expression and suddenly I'm laughing my ass off. He starts laughing with me and we laugh until my stomach can't take it anymore.
"You're so beautiful."
"So are you."
We continue to joke around until visiting hours are over and then he leaves promising to come back tomorrow. As soon as he leaves my mom walks in.
"Where were you?"
"You told him."
"Yeah, I did."
"And did he run?"
"No."
"I hate to say it, but I told you so."
"Yeah, yeah, anyways when can I go home?"
"4 days, it's not as bad as we thought."
"Okay then, Logan will bring my homework and lessons. Did u contact my school?"
"Yes. It's excused."
"Awesome, wanna watch some tv?"
"Of course."
As I'm putting on some random channel taking about a murder trial my dad walks it. He holds his finger to his lips so I wouldn't say anything. He sneaks up behind my mom and whispers "moist" in her ear. My mom freaks out, jumps out of her chair, grabs the water jug, and dumps it over my dad. I am laughing so hard now that no noise is coming out of my mouth and it's hard to breathe. My mom is scolding my dad for being immature and using her weakness against her while my dad laughing, clutching his torso.
I thought today would be another gloomy day but I guess not. My parents got a bed put in my room and fell asleep quickly while I stared at the spot Logan sat on. I can't believe I told him...
