As we approached the magnificent palace, the Enchanters of all ages, sizes, and levels lined up along the road.

"Eager to see the light prophet, I assume...." Sir Grimm commented as he slyly looked over to me.

I look back out the window and I see Kieran. He's only 16 but has the beautiful chiseled features of a man. His raven-colored hair is shaved on the sides with the front of his hair just barely touching the top of his eye. His icy blue eyes make for a sharp contrast against his hair. His pale skin holds no flaws. He sees me staring at him through the carriage window and smirks. I blush and look down.

The door of the carriage is opened and Sir Grimm steps out first. A gloved hand is again offered to me and I step down as gracefully as possible. I stand next to Sir Grimm and Kieran comes to stand next to me.

"Enchanters of Semiriah, here you have in front of you is Lucylle. She is believed to be the..." Sir Grimm starts speaking to everyone lined up on the road. Kieran looks over to me with a smug look.

"I saw you staring at me through the carriage window, Lucy."

"I know. And that's not my name...it's L-u-c-y-l-l-e, Lucylle." I responded.

"You can't spell Lucylle without Lucy." Kieran was testing my limits and distracting me from his father's speech. He may be excused from not paying attention, but I, most certainly, was not.

"I need to pay attention because I don't just get pardoned for everything like you do." I said.

"I actually don't get pardoned for everything, I get in trouble quite a lot, but okay, wifey" Kieran smirked.

How does a Prince get in trouble? I thought.

" I am not your 'wifey'" I've only just met him and I already got a headache.

Kieran leaned towards me."But you will be." He whispered. They way he said it gave me chills.

"...so please, treat Lucylle like royalty!" Sir Grimm demanded as I focused on the crowd. Everyone bowed and went back to whatever they were in the middle of doing.

The King turned to me and Kieran moved to his side. "Lucylle, this is Beth. She will show your to your dorm and give you a schedule for your classes tomorrow. I will send someone to fetch you for dinner. Tonight, your eating with the royal family, my dear." With that Sir Grimm and Kieran each kissed my hand and walked off towards their darker and much more shadowy castle.
Kieran...classy and prince-like but also annoying, I thought.

"Hello, Ms. Lucylle" Beth said as she curtsied.

"You can just act normal around me, Beth. I assure you, I am nothing special" I explained.

"But the King said-"

"The King doesn't know the extent of my power. Not yet anyway. And when he finds out that I'm not the Prophet, he might kill me, or exile me to a far off island that no one has ever even heard of." Beth looked at me pitifully.

"Well this way to the dorm." She pointed towards the Enchanters' palace. " You share a room with another Light Enchanter. Her name is Sequoia. Try to be nice to her. She's a diva."

As we walked towards the palace, all I could think was Oh dear....
