"We're back," Matthew says.
They both carried two boxes with them each. Amy, Chris and I went to go help them.
"How many boxes?" I ask.
"We only found five," Serenity says.
I grab onto the last box, and walk with them near the back of the room. Serenity handed a box to Chris to help out, while Matthew carried them both.
I sat the box down on the floor, and saw Amy staring at the walls across from us. She was looking at the picture frames.
"Promise not to tell Amy?" Serenity asks.
"About what?" I ask.
"We went two floors up, and went into one room. We chose that one because the door had been broken down. Inside the room, we found a body of the creature. That's where we found those bodies," Serenity says.
Chris wipes his hands on his jacket, "Us that blood?"
"We found Alyssa's body lying above these boxes... She's dead," Serenity says.
I looked back at Amy, and she was coming to us.
"I won't tell her," I whisper.
"Is there anything here to eat? I'm starving," Amy says.
"Well this is a kitchen, so they should," Matthew says.
Serenity and Chris stayed behind. Matthew, Amy and I all walked inside the kitchen. We all screamed as we saw moldy blood all over the kitchen floor. There had been a skeleton laying in the floor, with its bones next to the body. There had been a ripped up black dress on the floor, and red earrings.
"Frankie..." I say.
"ALAN!" I hear Chris scream.
We all got out of the kitchen and into the dining room.
"Look!" Serenity points at the ceiling.
There had been dust coming down. Then as the more dust came down, we heard the cheering sounds from the hybrids.
"It's time!" Chris says.
"Amy, here's a siren," Serenity hands a siren to her.
Most of us had weapons, and most didn't. I had a small sword, and Chris had a knife. With the moon coming down, we knew it was getting dark. But also a reminder: Our time is almost up.
"We have to win..." Amy says.
