Alexandria  froze.  “What?!”

The man raised his head from the ground and said, ”I know where your mother is”

“I  don’t  trust  you. why on earth should i believe you”

“Alexandria,  you  have  to.”

“How  do  you  know  my  name?  Who  are  you?”  Alexandria  was  terrified,  but  trying   not  to  show  it.  “Are  you  stalking  me?” she said in disbelief

The  man  chuckled.  “No,  but can  I  get  up  without  being  thrown  back  down?”

Alexandria  started  to  shake  her  head.

“Alexandria,  are  you  OK?”  Called  her  Granpa;  He’d  obviously  seen  the  whole  thing.

“I’m  fine,  for  now. I think.”

Her  Granpa  froze.  “Demetrie?”  He  whispered.

The  man  smiled.  “Good  to  see  you  again,  Charlie.”

“Wait,  you  two  know  each  other?”

Granpa  nodded  angrily,  helping  the  man called  Demetrie,  to  his  feet.  “Alexandria,  meet  your  father.” He said with an irritated attitude like he was resisting the earge to slap him

“WHAT????!!!!”

“Alexandria,”  said  Demetrie,  clearly  shaken  by  her  reaction.  “I  am  your  father.”

Alexandria  backed  away,  shaking  her  head.  “No.”  She  whispered.  “no,  No,  NO!”  her  voice  rose  to  a  shriek.

“Alex,  please,  calm  down!”  pleaded  the  man  claiming  to  be  her  father.

“you have no right to my nickname. Stay away from me!”  her  voice  was  bordering  the  hysterical.

“Alexandria?”  His  voice  was  confused. But he kept advancing toward her

“Alexandria,  calm  down.”  Her  grandfather  said.

“Just… just…  shut  up!”

“Alexandria!” he  stopped  looking  hurt.

“This  is  all  a  bad  dream,  she  muttered.  “This  is  all  a  bad  dream.  I’m  going  to  wake  up  soon  and  Mum  is  going  to  be  here.”

“Alexandria,  please,  listen  to  me.  I  am  your  father,  and  I’m  here  to  look  after  you.”  He  grabbed  her  shoulders.

“yeah? well then what hole did you spring up from after all these years” and when he didn’t reply Alexandria  shrugged  his  hands  off.  “You’re  no  father  of  mine.” She said disgusted then turned  and  ran.

“Alexandria! ”  yelled Demetrie. “Alex”

She  heard  him  giving  chase and sprinted faster than she ever thought possible.

“Dem,  leave  her. You  can’t  spring  something  like  that  on  her  and  expect  her  to  take  it  sitting  down.”

“But  it  isn’t  safe  for  her.”

“She’ll  be  fine.”

Alexandria  kept  running  and  running,  the  voice  of  her  granpa  and  Demetrie  fading. even after She  kept  on  running,  trying  to  make  sense  of  it  all.
