Alexandria woke up feeling oddly refreshed and happier for some reason she couldn't put her finger on she knew it started with a ‘F ’ but she couldn’t remember was she getting a pet falcon nah that wasn’t It, was Professor Feudal finally getting fired from school nah, oh well she’d find out soon enough. So she got dressed and ready for school.

Alexandria skipping into the kitchen merrily while whistling a funny tune, her grandfather was dumb struck but her father looked strangely happy and smug OMG that was it of course she met her father in a strange way last night although strange didn’t seem a good enough description.

Alexandria squealed went up to her dad kissed him on the forehead and said "good morning ddddad" stuttering slightly for trying out the name for the first time he of course chuckled comfortably to himself thinking he was the only one nervous after what happened last night looked at Charles and said to him

“ ‘I win’, you owe me a 30”

“What you traitor Alexandria” said Charles looking at her darkly

“I’m sorry, did I miss something are we betting on a race horse or something” asked Alexandria sarcastically

“We bet on who you would say good morning to first and you my dear have just won me thirty quid”

“Well in that case good for you” she said rolling her eyes “I’m of to school see you at 6:00”

"Wait, what!” asked her grandfather confused “No you are not your going to go with your father to Clem”

“Ah no she isn’t its to dangerous she might be recognized” said Demetrie slightly angered by the thought of Alex being put in danger

“What are you ashamed to be seen with me, ha?” asked Alex misunderstanding entirely

“Ah no, I am not and don’t take that tone with me”

“Or what” she said smugly

“or um ah…” that stopped him in his tracks he didn’t know Alexandria enough to know what to threaten her with

“look it doesn’t matter she’s going to go there anyway why not now” asked her grandfather

“woah, hold the phone, back up a bit, ‘Clem’ that’s just an old folk legend about  a different world” said Alexandria now really confused “isn’t it” tasting salty blood in her mouth she realized that she was biting her lip to hard and comsentrated on trying to stop

“no Alexandria it’s as real as you and me unfortunately” said her dad with a sigh looking a bit depressed now

“ok when do we leave” she asked looking at both of them

suddenly a window was heard braking at the side of the house

“umm” said her father in a very restrained voice “NOW”

that one word sent them running through the house and out the front door down the street and into the bushes before anyone could catch them. And there they waited for it to get dark.

“by the way old man never knew you could run that fast”
