*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*PERCY'S P.O.V~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Percy had woken up thinking that all was right in the world. The sun was shining and he could hear birds happy tweets as the flew around, his mom had even made blue pancakes for breakfast. Percy had been perfectly content happily chewing his pancakes when his mother had decided to spring on him that she had enrolled him in another boarding school. That had been an hour ago, now they were currently arguing on whether or not Percy was actually going to go.
"You're just wasting your money!" Percy protested, "It's just gonna turn out like all the other boarding schools I've gone too!"
"You, have to go to school somewhere Percy, this is the best place there is for someone like you" Sally explained.
"What's that supposed to mean?" questioned Percy, who was obviously offended by his mother's choice in words.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean that in a bad way, I meant for a son of Poseidon. The school is on a cruise liner!" Sally, who had been taken off guard by her son's interpretation of what she said, rushed through the explanation. She hoped she hadn't hurt her son's feelings too bad.
Percy broke out into a smile, "It's fine mom, I was only joking"
"Well then," huffed Sally, crossing her arms. "Just go and start packing,"
"Wait a second... when exactly are we leaving?" asked Percy.
"As soon as your done packing, it's already a few months into the school year... I already filled out transfer slips from the public school you were going to," answered Sally. She quickly swiped away her son's plate of half finished pancakes and ushered him out of the kitchen.
"Hey, I'm not that bad am I?" complained Percy who was promptly being shoved into his room.
"I'm still deciding," joked Sally. Percy rolled his eyes and lazily dragged his suit case out from where he had stashed it in his closet. After about an hour he had picked out his least damaged clothes (The demigod struggle... it's real) and all the other necessities that his mom would ask if he had several times before they left.
"I'm ready Mom!" Percy yelled, his suitcase dragged behind him as he made his way into the kitchen. Sally was sitting patiently at the table with a book in her hand, and just like Percy had suspected... the moment she saw him she began going over a checklist of everything he should have packed. After the absolutely grueling checklist was complete Sally walked over to her son and smiled.
"I am going to miss you so much,"
"You'd better, or else I'd be wasting my time missing a heartless woman," Percy paused and brought his hand to his chin as if he was thinking about something. "Nah, what am I talking about. I'd totally miss you anyway."
"Oh Percy," stated Sally as she grabbed a bag from the table. She opened it, checked it's contents, and then handed it to Percy. "Make sure to keep in touch,"
Percy looked down and saw the bag full of drachma, "You know I will..."
With that the two walked out of the house and into the car. The car ride (luckily) was anything but silent. Sally and Percy had talked and joked the entire way, it wasnt like the last time she had sent him off to boarding school. He had been so mad that he wouldn't even look her in the eyes. It took them a bit to reach the docks, but it wasnt because they were far away. Sally had taken as many wrong turns as she could, trying to avoid their inevitable arrival at the docs where the boat would be. When they had gotten there neither Sally or Percy got out of the car. They just sat there for five minutes. Neither of them really wanted to do this but both of them knew that it was necessary.
