(P.S. This is kinda similar to my last one but the people talked and I listened lol.)

I sat across the lot from my best friend Johnny Cade. I couldn't help but study the way his big brown eyes held so much innocence, and yet so much fear. "Did your parents-"

He swallowed and nodded. I sighed and sat closer to him, leaning my head on his shoulder. He stared at me. "What?" I asked shifting. I was kind of a tomboy, none of the gang had ever looked at me like that before. He kissed the top of my head softly and my gray eyes widened in surprise. "Chris... You've always been there for me.. There are times where I've felt alone, but you wouldn't let me feel that way for long.  I know I'm rambling... Which is a rarity for me, but that's just because I think you're really special.  Would you, maybe, like to go out sometime?"

  You could feel your heart beating in your ears.  "Oh, Johnnycakes.  I'd love to go out with you."  He grinned, and that's how you became, Johnny Cade's girl.😉
