Dark, it's all dark. I can feel something, something gently caressing my skin with its wonderful touch. So soft and small, almost like wind. Warm and gentle as it trails down and relaxes at my hand. It stills and stays there almost hesitant and every thing around me? Dark, still completely dark. My chest rises and falls at a steady pace as I listen to a sound like rustling. Still the warmth by my left side never left, and lingered over my hand. Then, almost like a bolt of Lightning, my hand is taken and a burst of light surrounds us as my eyes burn and I close then quickly. My heart swells and my chest falls and rises with a rapid speed. The rustling sound begins to rise like shrieks of banshees. My body swayed against the crashing waves of unbearable swooshes of wind. Something stings my legs and I fidget but that horrible thing that grasped my hand wouldn't let go.
"Bren!" Someone shouts and my eyes shoot open as I turn my head towards the voice. They stand to my left and the rays of light cover his face. "You're going to be alright." I stare at the person then down to the hand that held so desperately to mine. "Just look ahead." Their voice like smooth honey but deep like an ocean, I turn my head to the atmosphere around me.
A bright ball lights everything around us and I stare out over rows and rows of golden stems of wheat. They shine under the orb's light and fall in the distance stands a tree. The wind was slow and gently again, and the stinging feeling was now a smooth caressing feeling. My heart calms once more as my right hand falls from where is was resting before. It swings to my side and I touch a nice and warm fabric flowing at the top of my fingers. I look down at a dress that shines and reflects the sunlight with its white brilliance. It blows and flows like silk with the wind exposing my bare feet against the smooth dirt. My eyes pull up as I stare into the distance at the lone tree and begin to go to it.
"Hold tight Bren." The person on my right speaks slowly with a low voice. "It will take a long time till we reach that tree."
I go to speak but nothing comes, my voice simply fades away before I even open my mouth. His face is completely covered by a ray of light, but the one thing I see is a smile.
Why is it that that smile chills me to the bone, and not in a good way?

"Is she waking up?" Someone whispers as my eyes squeeze and relax as they work there way open.
"Oh god we've woken the beast." Another grumbles and my legs dig their way into his shin. "Ouch! Dammit!"
"Oh boy...." My eyes fly open as I glare at Elliot the Idiot as he rubs his shin. "Did you sleep well Bren?" Tyler asks as he leans down to look at me.
"I was sleeping well." I grumble as I sit up slowly and rub my eyes. "What are you two even doing in my room?" Folding my arms, I wait for their excuse.
"W-well..." Tyler begins as Elliot casually drapes an arm around Tyler's shoulder. "You know I follow my Tyler anywhere he wants to go!" He says happily as he puffs up his chest and strikes a pose. His hands in tight fists on his hips as I casually roll my eyes.
"Would you two get out so I can change?" I groan as Tyler blushes and pushes Elliot out of the bedroom door so I may change. Shaking my head, I slip out into the bitterly cold air, and tiptoe to my closet. I grab a pair of thick leggings and my long fuzzy sweater. Pulling a long sleeve shirt over my bare skin, goose pimples bubble on my skin and I pull up the cotton leggings then pull on my sweater. I grab a pair of long socks and slip them up then pull the leggings over. I grab my brown lace up snow boots and quickly tie them tightly to my as Elliot says, "flabby legs". Quickly, I grab my phone and walk out of the room turning off my lights and walking to the right down the hall and into the kitchen.
"Took you long enough!" Elliot groans as Tyler smiles at me with his usual brotherly smile. "Hurry up slowpoke!" I narrow my eyes and step out and into the bathroom as I brush out my hair and they lean into the doorway. I throw my head down and pull it tightly and smoothly into a bun on the top of my head. "My god why do you even try?"
"Shut up Elliot!" I bark as I finish the bun and push past them into the living room. I quickly wrap the scarf around my neck tugging it and then pulling my thick jacket over it and buttoning it up as I slip my phone into its pocket. "Well, let's go!" I cheer and Elliot charges forward in which Tyler holds him back.
After stepping outside, I'm acquainted with the familiar scenery of the white fluffy snow on the ground. The street lamp at the end of the walkway lights up the snow piled mailbox. The concrete crunches with the salt that Tyler must have put out to melt the snow. We walk along and I push the snow away as I open the gate and slip through into the snowy street. I sit and latch it shut as I look up to my house and it's dark Windows. We walk down the streets sidewalk as our feet crunch the snow beneath. I look at the impression of my shoe next to theirs. Mine small in comparison, but then again I'm not very tall. We walk in silence for awhile as the lamps cast shadows over the untouched snow in the road, which near the end Of the day would be cover in all sorts of different patters and such. Which would be covered into equal levels over night and be the beautiful powdery floor of white snow I see now. I've gotten used to it by now, sometimes I wonder why it's always snowing. Or how come the sky is always gray and cold, but I lose interest in the things I have no control over and continue on with my life.
"Oh my goodness! Can someone say something?!" Elliot screams as he grits his teeth together.
"Someone just did." I state as I look into his beautiful green eyes with a smug smile. My gaze moves up to his blond hair formed into the perfect quaff, like usual.
"You are so annoying." He grumbles as he crinkles his nose and his mouth falls into a frown. Leaning forward I bat my eyelashes. "Then why do you hang out with me?" I ask as I fold my hands together and smile happily. His perfectly arched brow twitches and he leans forward. "Because, I. Go. Where. Tyler. Goes." He states slowly and I narrow my gaze as Tyler sighs.
"I wish you two would stop fighting." He whispers and Elliot and I glare at each other as he walks between us. "Honestly we've been friends for forever and you two just don't stop..." He whispers and I look behind Tyler's back at Elliot.
"I hate you." I mouth and Elliot smiles as he raises his fingers up and makes a heart with his hand as he mouths back. "Hate you more."
"No mouthing mean things behind my back either!" Tyler barks and Elliot and I shoot back to look forward.
Standing ahead, a tall brick building as light cascades from Windows and lamps line a path way up to the front doors. Fellow students walk up into the warm building with welcoming chilled smiles. Salt lines the sidewalks and snow piles on the leafs of the trees. We hurry inside hoping for the warmth of the heater in the building. Elliot, being the dramatic guy he is, chatters his teeth together louder than they should but yet they stay perfect in every way. We walk into as the warmth warms us and we all sigh as I walk down the rows of lockers and to ours. Awaiting us the long day of school but at least, it wasn't so chilly anymore.
So I brought this one back! Yay! Anyhow I've made some changes and more detail so things might be a wee bit longer! I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading!
