"Okay fine, I really like you Carl" 

Shit why did I just do that. He probably doesn't feel the same way as I do and we only meet a few weeks ago.

Carl blankly stared at me without saying a word

"Are you gonna say anything?" I said hoping he would make this less awkward than it already is

"Alyssa"

I looked into his eyes "Sorry I shouldn't have said anything, I'll leave" I got up and walked towards the door.

I felt like such an idiot. Why would I tell him that now? We were just becoming great friends and I just had to ruin it by saying that I like him. I knew he wouldn't like me anyways

Me and Debbie were still having our sleepover but I just wanted to go home and forget everything that happened with me and

It was 1:32 am and if I went home now my parents would kill me. Debbie was on the living room floor sleeping with her mouth wide open. Lightly I tapped her shoulder to wake her up but she didn't budge.

"Debbie wake up"

Still no answer.

The house was completely silent. My mouth felt dry so I headed into the kitchen. While I was filling up my glass of water I heard the stairs creak. My body stood still and I didn't make a sound. The lights were off which made it even more creepier

"Oh hey" it was Carl.

I turned around and was relieved to see him

"Hey" he walked towards me

"We need to talk" he said

"What about?" Even though I knew exactly what he wanted to talk about

"About you liking me" he smirked

"Oh well what's there to say, I know you probably don't feel the same way towards me"

"Alyssa you never gave me a chance to finish you just got up and left"

I'm such an idiot why would I do that to him

"I know I'm sorry I just go-"

"Scared?" He interrupted

" Well not rea-"

"I know you were. The way your voice sounded all anxious, the way you were looking at me, just everything the way you did it. And it's okay I like you too" He said as he put his arm around me.

What? Am I dreaming? Did he just say he liked me? I was speechless

"And anyways, I already knew you liked me. It was pretty obvious when you would always blush when I called you baby girl" I was blushing now too

"You're too cute" he said to me

I just smiled and couldn't find a word to say

"Do you want to come upstairs with me?" He added

"Uh yeah sure. Debbie should be fine" I saw her still sleeping on the floor

I was starting to get really tired walking up the stairs. I yawned and Carl turned around to see me slumped on the side of the stairwell

He laughed "Do you want me to carry you?"

"If you don't mind"

In seconds he picked me up bridal style and carried me to his room. He placed me down onto to Ian's bed. He turned off the light walking to his bed.

"Carl?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you sleep with me?" (An: not in that way, continue)

He laid down next to me putting his atom around me. I put my head on his chest hearing his heartbeat. He pulled me in a little tighter kissing the top of my forehead.  Shortly I fell asleep in his arms
