Mortes et Vivante- two poems about the seasons, part 2
~
Vivante-(Spring and Summer)

Yellow, green, darkish brown,
Spring refreshes her golden crown.
Birds sing the coronation chorus,
Living things play the wondrous opus.

Colours of every hue and shade,
Gather as one as the drab clothes fade.
The song of life triumphs the song of death,
Filling one and all with new breath.

Green trees laden with heavy fruit,
As summer and spring bring the flow'ry suit.
The joyous voices rise and sing,
Hurrah for summer! Hurrah for spring!

The rainbow painted on the blank canvas,
The stark cold snow, away at last.
The tumult of noises joyfully echo,
As a butterfly flutters to and fro.
