"The Sky Is Darker in The Philippines, but the Sun still Shines On Its Land."
The sky is darker in the Philippines,
But the Sun still shines on its land.
The stars do not show in Philippines,
But the moon still glows in her hand. The skies may stay dark and dismal,
Shadows may live in our midst,
But does not the sun shine through all?
Does not light keep on in the mist? Will plants not live again after death?
Does not the rainbow shine after rain?
Does not life reign within our nation's breath?
Does not the lion grow his shaved mane?To arms! Dear countrymen, to arms!
Lest you turn to evil's dark, sinister darts,
Whether in our cities or in our farms,
Let courage reign in our hearts!
