SCARLET'S POV
I was really scared so I closed my eyes. My dad said sarcastically "Ohhhh, my little girl is scared, don't worry it wont hurt ,ME" . He started laughing evilly and slapped me hard. My head made contact with the wall from the hit. He then punched my stomach and I fell to the ground, trying to catch my breath. "Good night" he said smiling evilly and kicked my head . I started seeing black dots everywhere and soon I was unconscious.

When I woke up , I had a massive headache. I looked around and found that I was in my room ,on the bed. I got up and rested my head on the headboard. I looked around and found Anthony sleeping there on the couch. I got up on wobbly legs and hisses in pain. I went to the bathroom ,had a hot shower to relax my aching muscles , wore new clothes and got out . I went to where Anthony was sleeping and shook h " Anthony , wake up" I said my voice barely a whisper. He steered and opened his eyes , " Good morning" I told him smiling. " Good morning. How do you feel now?" He asked with worry in his eyes. "I'm good" I said casting my eyes down . " I'm sorry , I wasn't there to stop him" he said with guilt in his eyes. "It's not your fault ,he was partially drunk" I said offering him a hug. "Come on , let's go down and have some breakfast" he said changing the subject. "Gladly" I said smiling.
After breakfast, I went back to my room and wore my clothes while apply layers of make-up to hide the bruises.
I go downstairs and hear Xavier's car honk ( sophs brother). So, I went outside and got in the car. The ride to school was silent . When we reached ,I got down and Soph came and walked next to me to the school's entrance. " 'Sup guys " Ash said excited. "Okay ,What are you excited about now?" I asked her raising one eyebrow. She giggled " Well today is Sunday , exams are over and there is a
4 more days for Prom night" she said while jumping. "OMG, I totally forgot " I said face palming. "Did you guys get your dresses yet?" Soph asked . "Nope" we both said in chorus. "Well then we are going shopping on Wednesday after school" Soph said a little too loud. "Okay" we said. "We need to head to class now. See ya later" I said waving while making my way to class. I entered the partially full class limbing but then tried to hide it and took my regular seat.
