Crowds of people filled the airport as you made your way to the gate. Of course your flight had to leave on one of the busiest weekends, Christmas. You didn't mind that though because you were on your way to start your next chapter. You finally got the chance to move to LA and had interviews with multiple game companies, including Machinima. You admired their work and enthusiasm for video game making.
Finally reaching gate C6 you waited in line. You were flying out of St. Louis and it made you a bit sad you wouldn't see this city again until you visited family, but you knew LA had more in store for you. Handing your ticket in you boarded onto the plane and found your seat. Next to no one? The luck was already starting for you. Sliding over to the window seat you sat and pulled out your phone and plugged in headphones. Your music started playing as you settled in and lied your head back. The flight was gonna be 3 hours but being as you'd never flown before it was gonna feel like forever.

After the plane had landed you found your way out of LAX and had found an uber. Your apartment was in downtown LA so it would luckily be a lower priced uber this round. It was a nice studio apartment and was pricey, but worth it. You believed you deserved it after all the work you put in.
Speaking of work you opened your emails and looked through for Sonja's name. She had agreed to meet up with you and wanted to do a collaboration video as a sort of welcome to LA. You two became really good friends after playing CSGO together on Twitch and she was a lot of the motivation for you to move out to LA.
Finally finding her email you wrote back and set up a date. Tomorrow at noon. You nodded to yourself as you closed out.
After you got past most of the traffic the uber arrived to your apartment building. The building held 8 studio apartments in total. You didn't mind have neighbors in the same building and really you hoped to meet some and make friends. But you doubted it, you tended to keep to yourself.
As you stepped out and grabbed the rest of your luggage, with the help of your uber driver, you took a deep breathe. New chapter, new you. How exciting. You walked up the steps and into the building, down the hall. You were on the lower level at the end of the hall. The uber driver set down your bags near by your door.
"Thank you sir." You gave him a warm smile, your (e/c) eyes sparkled with happiness.
"No problem. Twenty three fifty is what you owe." He spoke in a low voice as he gave you a smile back. You duh through your purse and found you cash and handed it over. As he took it he gave a nod and turned on his heel and was gone.
The building manager said he would leave the door open for you and leave the keys on the kitchen counter so you started to open the door.
"That's the fucking dumbest idea." A voice echoed through the hall as a group of guys walked in. Four to be exact.
"Oh come on you know you want to do it though." An Australian voice cooed.
You glanced over and watched the group as they got closer. You went back to your door and opened it as you started to move your luggage inside. It was spread across the hallway, you had too many items to be honest. But it was necessary. As you walked out to grab the rest of your luggage the group had reached you. One of the guys had been walking backwards and ended your tripping over your bags.
His tall, lanky body fell over and slid across the floor. He let out a grunt and lied down in defeat. His buddies started cracking up and giving him shit.
"Who the fuck left this out here?" The guy who fell exclaimed as he got up.
"Oh my god I am so sorry!" You rushed over and moved your stuff. You caught a better look of the guy and felt butterflies instantly. He was cute. brown, messy hair that was spiked a bit in the front and big stupid glasses.
"It's okay I guess, I'm fine." His gaze watched you. "Ive never seen you before."
"First day here. I'm (y/n)." You held out a hand but it just hung there. He didn't attempt to shake it so you instantly brought it back. Rude.
Suddenly one of the guys spoke up, an asian looking one with jet black hair. "Holy shit, your (yt/n)! I've seen your videos." He smiled and nodded his head. "Were YouTubers too. Filthy Frank, Idubbbz," he pointed to the one that fell. "MaxMoeFoe, and this is Anything4views."
"Oh.." You had never heard of them and felt bad so you acted like you knew. "Oh! Yeah you guys are huge!" You smiled back and laughed at yourself internally. Pathetic. Way to make friends and lie.
'Idubbbz' spoke up and caught you in your lie, "You have no idea do you?"
You shamelessly shook your head. "It's alright. If your living here, you will know us in no time." He grinned and gave you a quick wink before they all turned and left. "See ya newbie."
And with that you suddenly fell for a stranger.
