Bzzzzz! Your eyes flung open as your hand out reached for your phone. It hit something hard and grabbed it. A shoe. Your hand continued to search as you yawned. Finally your hand hit a phone and you looked at it.
1 new message from Ian: I left, didn't want to worry you. I had to get ready to meet the boys.
A small smile spread across your lips as you remembered what happened last night. It was crazy to you that after one day you had three new friends and already banged your neighbor. You really were someone new. After texting Ian back an 'Okay, have fun.' you pushed the phone across the floor and rolled onto your back as you stared at the ceiling and watched the fan go around. You liked Ian and obviously he had some liking for you, whether it was serious or just physical, otherwise last night would have not happened. After thinking through your relation with him you sighed and stood up from the mattress.
"Ehh, speaking of which." You mumbled as you glanced down at your lonely mattress. You needed to go furniture shopping and get groceries. You walked to a pile of clothes and picked up a pair of black Nike shorts and slid them on. Browsing through a box of shirt you found a red tank top with 'STL Zoo' written across it in white. Along with it you grabbed your zip up windbreaker unsure of the weather out.
Grabbing your phone from the floor, you headed down the hallway and found an uber near you. You grabbed your bag from the floor and slid on the sandals you wore last night. Keys... Where did you drop them? You knew when Ian had carried you in that you dropped them but you were clueless. You searched between the front door and your bedroom but was stumped. Whatever, this building was safe enough it'd be fine. Plus there was nothing but your clothing to steal and it wasn't worth the money.
You got a message that your uber was here and you walked out.••••••••••••••••••••••
You had finished up shopping around 1:30 or so that afternoon and got home after lugging everything in your apartment. Luckily the uber driver you got was kind enough to help. He had even spotted your keys in the hallway, which was a bit difficult to explain. After putting all the groceries away in kitchen you moved onto building your bed frame. That's the only piece of furniture you were able to get, but you got your living room furniture ordered and they would be delivered by tomorrow.
You dragged the box to your room and started opening it when you got a call; Ian. Whipping your phone out you put it on speaker and set it on a shelf built in the wall. "What's up?"
"Driving home right now. What are you up to?" He sounded so different on the phone.
Slicing open the box with your knife you sighed, "Going to attempt to build my bed frame. Why?" You threw the knife down as you opened the box flaps and started pulling out all these different parts. A look of confusion formed on your face because you had no clue what the hell was going on.
"Well the boys wanted to go out for drinks and I figured since you were newly turned 21 this month, that you may want to join." Ian had a point, you hasn't been out since your actual birthday but that sucked. It was with family and you drank two beers. You were too afraid of judgement from your family.
Thinking it over you figured it'd be fun to meet some new people. "Yeah man, who all is going and when should I be ready?"
"George, Chad, Max, and the we might meet up with some other people but that's not for sure yet. We will probably leave or meet at 8."
"Great okay." You tried to read the instructions and set them down and stared at all the pieces. "Uhm, how close are you to being at our building?"
"Literally just pulling up."
"Wanna build a bed?"
Ian was silent for a few moments and the spoke up in a deep voice, "Yah, might as well help because I'm sure I will get use out of it."••••••••••••••••••••••
It took you and Ian one hour or so to put the frame together. He even helped you move your bedroom around and organize some shit. What a guy. You finished putting some clothes up on hangers and shut your closet door and looked at Ian lying on your bed. He was precious. He had one arm raised up behind his head, it tugged his shirt up and you could see his v line which intrigued you. Walking over you kept your gaze in him and slid up beside him on the bed.
"What should I wear?" You could feel his body heat and smell his cologne. Being this close to him made you nervous and you weren't sure why. But it was an exciting nervous.
His eyes opened and his gaze shifted to you, "I would say nothing but that's 'inappropriate'." He made air quotes with his fingers when he said inappropriate and chuckled as he reached over and engulfed you in a hug. He pulled you up on top of him and you placed both hands on his chest as you held yourself up to see him. This was weird.
"Okay." It was a silent for a few moments as you two just lied together. Until you blurted out. "What are we? I mean friends yeah but after last night I started thinking and I personally feel different about, good different, but ya know I just-" you started rambling as you got nervous. Dumbass. Don't just say shit like that. You frowned and shut up. "Sorry."
Ian chuckled and squeezed you with his hands, "I don't know. Didn't think much of it I guess." Oh, great. "I suppose were just gonna be fuck buddies." He grinned at you and pressed himself to you. Your jaw dropped and you hit him. You tried squirming from his grip but he had you. "I am just kidding, chill (y/n)." His laugh was even harder and deep.
"You better be fucking kidding."
"What do you see us as?" Ian studied you.
You thought for a few seconds and shrugged, "Well honestly, I have feelings for you. But ya know I feel like it's weird because we just met."
Ian smirked and brushed your hair back behind your ear, "Well sometimes you have to take chances like that. Those can be the best chances of your life. Like you, you moving here probably was meant to be for me. Whether we just stay friends or date."
You could feel yourself blush and you smiled as you dug your face into his chest. Was this kid for real? He was killing you, Ian made you feel so happy go lucky. He brought out a whole new person of you and it made you thankful to have met him.
He leaned in close to your face and grinned, "And personally I like to take chances."
