Soulmate au where the only thing you dream about is your soulmate and when you find your soulmate, you dream about being together.

I don't know who he is, but I know all about him. He plays volleyball, which I thought was really cool. I would have dreams of him playing volleyball all the time. It gave me such a thrill, even though I hated actually doing sports.
He was short, too. Sometimes, there would be dreams about him magically being taller and him being excited when he can finally reach the top shelf to grab a cup.
I can't remember what he looks like, but I just know he's beautiful. He has a really nice smile. His voice sounded like an Angels.
He's in Japan, too. Sometimes, people have to travel the world to try and find their soulmate. And sometimes, they don't even find them. They have to live the rest of their lives by themselves.

Since my soulmate played volleyball, I decided to become a manager for our school's volleyball team in high school. This week they are having a training camp with a bunch of other teams. We took a bus as a team, even though some of us could probably walk there.
"Cmon, shorty. We're the last team here," the captain patted my head.
"Sorry, owl-head," I chuckle back.
"Bokuto-san, stop making fun of the first-years," Akaashi looked annoyed at Bokuto as always. I had become close to the second year, since bokuto annoyed the shit out of both of us. It was one of the many things we had in common.
"Akaashiiii," he whined. "You shouldn't talk like that to your soulmate..." Bokuto started sulking.
"Tch," Akaashi rolled his eyes and tried to cheer him up again. "I love you, bokuto."
"You do?!" Bokuto jumped onto Akaashi showering him with kisses.
I hope my soulmate and I love each other like that. I chuckled.

The first team we went up against was the new team. They weren't doing that good, though... They were actually pretty bad. They were from karusno.
I immediately looked for a short one like I do with every team, hoping I would find my volleyball-loving soulmate. I didn't want to get my hopes up, though, because whenever a team had a short player, I thought they were my soulmate. There were two not very tall but taller than me ones on the team.

One was a way too hyper 1st year ginger. I really hope he isn't my soulmate. Way too much to handle. He was good at what he was doing, though. He spiked the ball yet again, scoring another point for his team.
"Good job," their setter muttered as he gave him a peck on the head. Well there goes that one. Why is everyone who plays volleyball so gay... I love it though.

The other one was their libero. He was shorter than the ginger (yet SOMEHOW taller than me still) and had a streak of blonde in the front of his hair.

After the first matches were done, I helped hand out water to all of the boys. I spotted Akashi and Bokuto talking in the corner of the gym with their friend kuroo from nekoma. They didn't even notice me walk up to them.
"Hey. akaashi," I tugged the sleeve of the shirt.
"Ahh, if it isn't chibi," kuroo ruffled my hair. (Chibi translates to small or tiny or whatever idk who doesn't know that ugh whatever)
"Kurooooo," I whined trying to fix my hair.
"What is it, YN?" The three were staring at me.
"Umm... I need your help."
"With what?" Akaashi sounded annoyed.
"Well, uh.. I think my soulmate might be here?"
"Ooooo who?" Bokuto hooted
"Again, YN?" Akaashi looked disappointed.
"What do you mean again?" Kuroo asked him.
"YN does this every time we go up against a new team," akaashi rolled his eyes.
"Who is it, YN? Who is it?" Bokuto looked more excited that I was.
"Uh, you know that short guy on karusno with the blonde in the front of his hair?"
"Oh, their libero?" Kuroo raised his eyebrows.
"Mhm," I nodded.
"I'll see what I can do," akaashi did this every time for me.
"Thank you akaashiiii," I hugged around hus waist.
He rolled his eyes. "Only because you helped me get with mine and I owe you."

It was almost night time as we walked to the school we were staying in for the week. Akaashi stopped me and waited until we were near the back of the group to say something.
"Alright, I asked some people, those people asked other people, I have answers." He started.
"Ok, lay it on me."
"Alright so first, he hasn't found his soulmate yet."
"Alright, what else did you get?" I checked off a box in my head.
"He said he dreams of a girl."
Finally, a straight one. "Anything else?"
"That's all I got."
"Really? Ok. Ok. What do I do now??"
"I don't know, just go talk to him. He might even think it's you, just go try."
"Ok, where is he?" I started looking around for him.

Then a thug, looking guy came up to me.
"Uh, hey," baldie said.
"Oh, your from karusno, right?"
"Yeah. My friend was wondering if you have your soulmate yet." Straight forward I see.
I looked at his jacket to see 'karusno' plastered on it. Omg hE IS ON THE SAME TEAM AS SHORTY. Ok, me, don't freak out..
"Uh, no I haven't." I looked around to try and find the boy. I finally spotted him, staring at me and baldie while he was with the rest of his team.
"Hey, come walk with me and my friend. I think you two would get along," he started dragging me over to the rest of his team. I look back at akaashi for help but he just shrugs his shoulders.

"Hey, noya, look. I found a girl."
"Uh, hi. I'm LN, YN." I nodded, flustered,
"Hey, YN. I'm nishinoya yuu, and I think we might be soulmates," he smiled at me. It was the same beautiful smile I remembered.
"Ya, I think so too," I chuckled.
We made small talk on our way to the school.

And that night, I dreamt about our wedding.
