Achillies was the best Greek fighter in the Trojan war his mother is the goddesses thetis. Zeus has once fallen in love with thstis but she refused to be wife of Zeus because he had a big beard and he was also fat and so thetis was punished by never being able to marry an immortal ever again. "This is just an outrage. I can no longer marry an immortal and now I have to marry mortals, they age their belly's sag they become bald or their hair turns white. No more can they run and fight" complained the goddess thetis but peleus king of the myrmondions has heard of it and now he had the chance of marrying thetis. Because thetis was outraged of Zeus punishing her she rode across the ocean on dolphins naked until she saw peleus waiting for her and he hugged her when she came close. She turned into water but peleus somehow held her to him she turned to fire a lion a snake but he still held on until thetis gave up and decided to marry peleus. Peleus and thetis invited all gods and goddesses except eris goddesses of discord and because of that she got a golden apple gave it to peleus to carry and said "only the fairest goddess can weild the golden apple" with that eris left and the goddesses argued in who disserved the apple until Zeus said that Paris must choose who is the fairest goddess. Achillies is son of thetis and peleus and but thetis did not want her son to ever die so she took him to the river of Styx where she held him on his heel and dipped his entire body except the heel she held. Peleus was mad at this he wanted his son to be mortal so he took him Right before he was gonna get breast fed and so because his lips never touched his mothers breasts he was called Achillies meaning no lips
