"Sassy. I like it." Ch 2

~Caleb's POV~

"I seem to have the wrong house, don't I?" I asked while I stepped back to look at the address.

"Depends. Who are you looking for?" Andy asked while leaning against the doorway.

"Clarissa. And did you just say "What the shrimp?" I said while laughing. Andy turned red and scoffed.

"Shut up. And Clarissa is my mother." Andy said while playing with the hem of her dress.

"Sassy. I like it." I said in a teasing way. Andy scoffed and folded her arms.

"Hmmm. My father sent me here. He's running late as usual." I said whole pulling out my phone to check the time.

"What does you father want with my mother?" She asked. I did a shrug.

"Caleb! You here. Where's your father." Clarissa said while walking towards the door, she looked outside and smiled.

"Here!" My father yelled from the driveway.

"Okay. Andy, has Caleb been out here the whole entire time? Andy Brooke James. That's no way to treat your guest." Clarissa scolded Andy while I tried not to laugh. My father gave me a nudge, while Andy gave me a glare.

"Nice dress." I whispered to Andy as we walked in. Andy gave me a glare but smiled.

"Caleb! I apologize for my daughters attitude. She's never usually this way." Clarissa said as she led me to the diner table.

"I've barley even talked to him." Andy mumbled as she sat next to me. Clarissa gave her a glare as she entered the kitchen.

"So Andy, you go to school with Caleb.?" My father asked as he looked over at me. Andy did a nod while drinking her drink.

"You guys friends?" He asked and Andy started coughing. She put her finger up and she coughed one more time.

"No, but we do have English with each other." She said after she calmed down.

"Dinners ready. It's my signature lasagna." Clarissa said as she came and sat down with a pan.

"Fantastic. I'm starving." Father said while he grabbed his plate.

"Okay. After dinner there is cheesecake then we'll tell you why I invited them over. Sound good?" Clarissa asked as she gave me my plate. Me and Andy nodded while digging in.

"I like your dress. Where'd you get it?" Clarissa asked.

"Jenny's." Me and Andy said. We turned and looked at each other than back at our parents.

"And now would you know that?" My father asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"I saw her earlier at the store. I actually stopped and talked to her. It was a nice conversation." I said while looking over at Andy. She gave me a smile then turned back to her mom.

"Did I forget to tell you? My bad." Andy said while looking at her mom.

"It's fine. Anyways. Desert time. Why don't you two go chat in the living room while I prepare it." Clarissa said while motioning me and Andy to leave.

"You seemed nicer earlier." Andy randomly blurted out. I turned to her and sighed.

"Yeah. I just don't want to be here." I said while looking at the ceiling.

"How come." She asked while sitting on the couch.

"Not going to tell you." I said while looking at her.

"Please?" She said while doing a pouty face.

"Do you really want to know?" I said as she nodded yes.

" I was going to have sex. Andy. Good old fashion sex." I said while laughing.

"Oh. That's cool." She said while laughing.

"Okay. Kids time for good news." My father said while passing me and Andy our cheesecakes.

"Ready?" They both asked while the sat down.

Me and Andy nodded.

"We're engaged!" Clarissa said while smiling.

"What the shit?" Andy said while standing up.

"Andy!" Clarissa said while standing up.

"She means "What the shrimp." I said while looking at Andy.

"Not now." My father said while looking at Clarissa.

"I'm sorry. It's just that was so unexpected." Andy said while rubbing her head.

"It's fine. I know. But me and Nathan have been together for 4 months and he proposed last week and I know I should of told you." Clarissa said while smiling.

"Sup peeps." Violet said as she entered the house. She has her own key. She stopped once she saw Caleb. Deja Vù.

"Andy, take Caleb and Violet upstairs while me and Nathan talk things out." Clarissa said while hugging Violet.

I walked up stairs with the girls following me.

"Damn daddy. Nice ass." Violet whispered.

"Shut up, he might hear you." Andy said while shushing her.

"What, he's got a nice butt." Violet whispered.
