Cherishing moment

[A day that happened in My life but I'm just adding it in for fun]
   Chirping birds. Smell of breakfast being cooked in the kitchen. The warmth the bed brings to you when you lay down underneath the covers.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEP.--------THUNK
  I slap the alarm next to me and I wake up and see I am no where close to my bed. I'm in the living room sleeping on the sofa. I stumble off the couch and look around. Empty. I look into the fridge. Empty. A tight feeling throbs in my chest. Maybe I'm just a little sick...?
I head to my room and look at my mirror and put on my glasses and see I still have my shirt I wore from yesterday's party. My hair looks silky still at least. I'm glad I'm a brunette with long hair because then I feel as if I stays softer for a long amount of time. Maybe I should dye it another color? Nah. I see something near the floor and I step forward and pick it up and notice it's a friend of mine from a while back. Wonder what he's doing now? Is he a nice guy?
After 10minutes of looking at the picture and thinking of so many questions I get up and get ready for school. A new day means a new start right?
"Iz!"A voice calls behind me. My best friend Heidi. She's really nice and caring. She normally buys me food when I'm at school because I often get to lazy to make my own. As she walks towards me she has a big smile on her face.
"What's with that?" I point at the smirk on her face and she covers it up like it wasn't supposed to be there. " I heard that we have someone new at our school today coming at 4th period. "
Heidi normally knows who's leaving
and arriving at our school and sometimes I wonder how but I don't want to find out.
4th period comes around and we all enter and sit down at our seats. Our teacher announces what we'll learn and then starts to talk about the 'New Student'. A boy a little shorter than I am with dirty blond hair and green eyes enter the room. Didn't expect this kind of transfer. My friend Heidi gets to sit next him and like usual she hits it off with the guy.
Although I'm still new at this school myself I've never thought I'd get jealous this fast. There's only one problem. I've never felt jealous before so how do I know I am? I've never fell in love, never talked to a guy, never even wanted to look at one till now. Heidi looks over and tilts her head like always and point to the boy over her shoulder and then I notice she's mouthing something.
H.A.Y.E.S.
She makes each letter with her hand and mouth. Hayes? Is that the name of the boy? For the first time I look forward to the years ahead of me with my best friend and maybe a new friend to hit off with.
