The Girl Next Door *Luke Brooks love story*

Chapter 1

Mia's POV:

My alarm rang loudly waking me from my sleep. I grumpily turn off the alarm before dragging myself into the bathroom where I start to get ready for the last school day ever. First I quickly shower then change into my horrible school uniform. When I've finished doing my hair and makeup I walk downstairs to see Will my nineteen year old brother watching spongebob while eating a bowl of cereal. He will never grow up.

"Morning," he says to me with a mouth full of food. I just wave in response and continue walking into the kitchen.

"Good morning mum," I greet her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning sweetie," she replies and hands me a plate of pancakes. I quickly thank her and make my way to the table. After eating the delicious pancakes I packed my school bag and left yelling bye to everyone as I walked out the door not bothering to wait for Tegan, my fifteen year old sister. My phone vibrates in my hand signalling I have a text.

From Luke
Wait, we'll be 5 minutes :p

I sigh, those boys are never on time. To take up the time I play candy crush, as I was just about to complete the level two arms snake around my waist from behind. I look behind my to see my best friend Luke brooks.

"You scared me," I shout at him, rolling my eyes pretending to be mad.

"You'll live mia-kins," he replies as I cringe at the nickname 'Mia-kins' I hate that name and Luke knows it. The door from next door slams and a very tired looking Jai walks out. I run up and jump in his arms.

"Luke's being annoying," I whine to Jai but he just chuckles. I turn around and poke my tongue at Luke as we begin to walk to school.

This is just a normal morning for us. We have lived next door since I moved here from LA when I was six. The Brooks brothers and I got on immediately and I have become best friends with Luke, Jai and Beau. I can't believe how lucky we are to have meet the brooks. They've helped us a lot as my dad left us when I was five and over the years my mum and Gina have become best friends. I suddenly felt someone tug on my hand. Quickly I snap out of my thoughts. I see Luke in front of me laughing at something.

"You stopped walking," Luke said while I looked at him confused.

"I was just thinking," I replied trying to not make it sound like a big deal.

"About what?" Luke asks looking curious. He pulls me to the side of the path as Jai crosses the road to walk with Skip and James.

"Stuff," I reply trying to continue walking.

"What stuff," he asks as her grabs my hands pulling me back.

"How lucky I am moving next door to you," I quietly say, probably blushing like mad. He doesn't say anything just pulls me into a tight hug.

"I love you," he whispers in my ear. I giggle.

"I love you too," I say as we pull away and continue walking to school.

"Wanna film a video today?" He asks smiling at me. "Please," he adds.

"Ummmm," I say pretending I don't want to. His smile dropped immediately when I said that.

"Of course I'll do it," I say giggling. He just smiles at me and I realise we are at the school gates. That was fast I thought as I said goodbye to Luke and hugging him. I see Tyler my boyfriend talking with his friends. I decide to go surprise him, I sneak up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. He turns around pulling me into a hug.

"Hey," he whispers in my ear. I just laugh, we pull apart and he pecks my lips. We've been dating for seven months and I'm completely inlove with him. We met at a party both being shy at first. He is quite popular so I was really surprised when he asked me out. Luke and Jai didn't like him at first but now they have grown to like him which I really appreciate, my boyfriend and best friends getting along. The bell rings as Tyler grabs my hand and starts walking me to my class. We talk about everything and anything that comes to our mind, thats one thing I love about Tyler we can talk about anything that comes to our minds. We reach the classroom, I see Jai and Skip in the class talking. Tyler pulls me into a passionate kiss before he walks away to his class. I walk in and sit by Skip and Jai.

"We saw that," Skip says with a wink then starts laughing with Jai. I blush and hit them both with my bag. The things these boy do. After first period I walk to maths by myself. I sit with India my other best friend. We met when were 12 at school. She's my best girl friend. India's quite girly so I would rather hang out with the guys as I'm more of a tomboy. The day slowly drags on and finally the end bell rings. Finally schools out! My phone vibrates in my pocket. I look down to see that it's Luke.

Sorry I've already left with jai, skip and James so we can organise the stuff for the video. Come over to ours whenever your ready x

As I walk past the carpark I spot Tyler sitting in his car. I walk over to him and knock on the window.

"Can I have a ride?" I ask in my sweetest voice with a smile.

"Of course, but what do I get in return?" he responds in a teasing voice. I wink and walk around and get into the car. As soon as I sit down he pulls me into his lap kissing me. We make out for a while before he starts driving. When we arrive at my house I thank him and peck his lips. Yelling goodbye as I walk up the path to the door. He waves and continues driving to his house which is a good 15 minutes away sadly. I walk into the house shouting I'm home.

"Be quiet, the whole neighbour hood can hear you," my mum scolds. I just kiss her cheek and walk up to my room. Quickly I get changed in to a pair of black shorts and a crop top that exposes my belly button piercing. I got it when Luke got his lip pierced and I love it. Grabbing my camera and a jumper I walk out the door and about 20 metres to the Brooks house.
