Chapter 2

"BEN WHAT THE FUCKING FUCKS!!" I scream.

Bens head shoots up and his eyes meet mine. I slowly walk over to him.

"What is this?" I lowly say with a pissed off tone.

"It's not what it looks like you se-" Ben started shaking his head obviously looking scared.

"Um I think it is" I say cutting him off "why is Justin on the fucking floor bleeding and obviously in pain?"

I am getting really annoyed I hate seeing people hurt. Even if it is the nerd. He deserves respect too.

Ben slowly backs away from me with his hands raised like I had a gun pointed in his direction.

"Hey Deandra?" I say not looking in her direction still with my eyes on Ben.

"Yeah?" she says timidly.

"Could you tell me what happened?" I say in a calm tone. I walk towards Justin and help him up. I stand there with my hand on his forearm so he won't run away. I keep my death stare on Ben as he tries to escape but a barrier of people keep him I place.

"Ok Renée what I seen was Ben walked over to The ner- ah um Justin here and Justin was just innocently walking down the hallway minding his own business when he glanced at you and smiled. I'm pretty sure Ben noticed because he headed towards him and threw him against the locker and punched him and he also kicked him and threatened him about something I didn't really hear but it was really sc-"

"I DID NOT YOU FUCKING BITCH!" Ben yells at Deandra. I walk up to Ben and slap him. Hard. His head turns and he holds his cheek while looking at me surprised and angry.

"Beating up an innocent boy AND lying. hmm I wonder if the principal should be noticed about this yeah?" I say loud enough so that everybody around us could hear. Bens look of anger turns to worry and astonishment.

"You wouldn't..." He says lowly obviously scared.

"Oh but I would." I say in a normal but sassy tone. Bens and Justin's eyes both widen.

"I'm pretty sure I seen Serena's boyfriend.. ahh what is his name..? umm.. DALTON!! Yeah I seen Dalton recording it." Deandra said pointing in Dalton's direction. he slowly steps forward and hesitantly hands me his phone. Serena walks over from my side to his and hugs his arm. I watch the video and what Deandra said was true! Ben Beat up Justin! I slowly walk up to Ben with my head tilted down and I look up at him through my hair.

"Ben?" I say grabbing his forearms with a seductive stance. Ben bites his bottom lip and looks down at me. "yeah Babe?" He says grabbing my waist pulling me close "were over!" I say to him pulling away and stepping about around five feet away.

The whole area filled with ooohs coming from bystanders. I walk away with Dalton's phone in my hand as I drag Justin by his hand to the principals office to show her the video.

When we get there I hear Justin say to me "i uhh um th- thank you Ren- Renée." I look up at him and smile warmly while giving him a light hug making Justin shiver a bit. "no problem" I whisper in his ear soon releasing from the embrace.

The principle calls us to get the phone back and tells us she has called Bens parents to pick him up. apparently they are really pissed at him.

Immediately after that I run Justin to the nurses office and get his wounds cleaned up and bandage him.

As I finish the last bit I find myself leaning in slowly. I open my eyes to see Justin backing away nervously.

"I-I'm so-sorry Renée but I uh I have t-to go" he said quickly pushing his glasses up and walking out of the room in a rush. I text Serena to come to the infirmary and right when I do I hear her phone ding and she turns into the room.

"Wow! good timing eh?" I say surprised.

"Yeah very!" Serena says with a laugh.

"So you and Ben ended it eh?" she says quietly.

"Yep!" I say popping the 'p'.

She nods her head and I turn to face her completely.

"Serena?" I say quietly.

"Yeah? what's up?" she says turning in my direction.

"Well do you promise not to tell anyone?" I say quickly in a warning tone. she nods her head quickly.

"Well I um almost kissed Justin..." I say holding the 'n' sound for about two seconds. Serena looks at me shocked.

"DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING TELL OR ILL BURN YOUR HAIR OUT!" I warn.

She nods quickly.

When we walk out of the room we were in I notice as we walk down the halls people whispering about the fight and breakup. wow.. I check the time and notice the whole first part of the day has gone already. Now it's lunch? what the flying fucks? How did this happen? as I walk down the hallway obviously with Serena still at my side a boy named Deegan walks up to me.

"Hey Ren? are you free tonight?" he asks with hopeful eyes. I put my hand on his shoulder and shake my head.

"Deegan honey I am but I don't want to do anything tonight. I'm sorry." I say sweetly giving him a peck on the cheek thinking about his feelings. I'm not mean aha. Deegan bows his head and shakes it. I walk away feeling guilty.

Lunch went by pretty fast today and so did the classes. I can't pay attention today! what's wrong with me? maybe I'm tired! yeah that's it! when I get home I shall sleep! yeah! as I'm in deep thought about sleep I trip over something.

"Oh ahh sorry there. you ok?" I say looking down at the rock I tripped over feeling stupid.

"You do know rocks are abiotic right?" the all too familiar voice says.
