Chapter 1

4 years later....

I was helping out in a bakery called "Celia's Stop Over". This is the shop of my best friend. Her name is Marianne Jane Seyfried, we've been best friends since our 1st. Year of high school and now we are in our Freshmen Year at London University of the Arts. I wasn't exactly from London, I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada but basically I am half-Canadian and half-British since my dad is from England. So when I moved here with my parents, older brother and 2 younger sisters. MJ was my 1st. friend and she's now like a sister to me, don't know what I'll do without here. She's always been there for me ever since I told her about my...darkest past...and of course, my deepest and darkest secret. So basically, she knows everything about me, so she invited me to work here to try and forget everything but it doesn't seem to be going as she had planned but at least I'm trying and she's not losing hope. It'll be my 3rd. year working here next month, I wonder if something will change this year....

I was placing different types of bread in different kinds of baskets, just then, Marianne shouted and some of the bread fell as I got shocked, "Ahhhhhhhh!!! One Direction is coming here!!!", "Morning to you too, MJ.", I replied to her calmly with a warm smile as I was picking up the bread on the floor. "How can you be so calm, Ash?!", she asked irritated, "Why? Is there something I should panic about? They are just a group of boys.", "YES, you should panic because 1D is coming! Here! And NO, they aren't just a group of boys. They ARE the group of boys!", she told me terribly annoyed of my reactions to her 'big news'.

"I think you're just over-reacting, MJ...", I told her, "I am not! I am just being normal.", she said calmly. "Yeah, like how every other fan girl reacts...haha", I told her giggling a little bit. "That hurts you know, Ash...", MJ said with a mocking hurt tone. I hugged her from the side and said, "I'm sorry, MJ. I just like teasing you so much, you look so adorable!", I pinched her right cheek. "Ow. That hurt.", she said in a cute voice with a pout, "You'll never grow up. Haha. We'll go to Nando's for lunch, my treat.". I smiled at her and she grinned, "YES!".

Suddenly, the back door slammed open and a young boy came running in and he was shouting, "Mommy! Mommy!". "Hey there, little fella! Good Morning! Oh yeah, happy birthday! Why are you up so early today?", MJ asked and handed him her birthday gift. "Good Morning, Auntie Marianne! Thank you! Is mommy here?", he asked with tears in his eyes. "Hey baby, happy birthday! what are you doing here?", I asked him and gave him a peck on the lips. "Mommy! I missed you!", he hugged me and I carried him. "Who came here with you, Caulder?", I asked and look at him worriedly, "a man...he greeted me a happy birthday, mommy...", he replied. "Do you know who he is?", I asked really worried now. "No but he said he knows you mommy...". I couldn't say anything to him because I got scared and had a feeling that it might be HIM. So I just smiled at him and told him, " Why don't you go see what grandma Celia's doing out back okay baby? We'll celebrate at your favorite restaurant later. Be careful.", I winked at him and before he left he shouted at me happily, "Thank you mommy, I love you!".
